  • SEAN CONNERY WAS THE ONLY james bond 007 hes VERY COOL BEST MOVIE bg

  • If I could just go back in time . . . .

  • Nancy says she has a new album on the way and she thinks it is the best work she has done for years.

  • best bond song ever !!!

and also best film ... !

  • saw ms. sinatra sing this @ 9:30 club ( wash. dc ) 3 years ago . i can now die a happy man .

  • She's weird looking.

  • James Bond and Nancy Sinatra are a deadly combination. "You only Live Twice; Once when you are are born,

And once when you look death in the face. -Ian Fleming

  • robbie williams - millenium?

  • @Dave23788 Yes, he stole that riff from here.

  • @tmmvds He didn't steal...

  • @snoopatomicdog So, BORROWED then...

  • This version is better than the other one with the intro.

  • Shirley Bassey should sing all the Bond songs... : D

  • @mayflower557 nancy sinatra is pretty good.

  • @mayflower557 Humbly disagree. Nancy has the range to cover this with ease.

  • I swear I'm going to hunt down and kill the person responsible for this fucking "arrow to the knee" crap !!!!!!

  • @Ersa1a Bethesda Softworks

  • @TradingTutor thanks. I'm on my way - arrow to the heart...LOL

  • @Ersa1a You're also doing me a favor :)

  • I was going to live twice, but then I took an arrow in the knee.

  • 32 people can't live twice

  • I think she was the first kid to sing with her father successfully...but in all fairness, she did make great music for a while. her movie career was also short....

  • YOLO NOT YOLT

  • She was great but so rich because of her dad, I don't think that drive to succeed was there. She made maybe three hit songs, but tired quickly and moved on.

  • best bond song ever ! saw her sing this @ 9:30 club ( cap. 500 ) wash dc 2009

  • apple didn't fall too far from the tree......this is real music folks...forget Lady Gaga.

  • I wish I was James Bond lol.

  • @NottinghamForest22

    lol rly

  • this song used to make me cry as a kid, and yep, it still works..

  • My favourite Bond song so far.. The second is From Russia with Love, Tommorow Never Dies, Casino Royale

  • like this if u got here by searching for james bond

  • Robbie Williams-Millenium

    <3 oha

  • The First Bond film I ever saw! I was 6.

  • my favorate bond theme

  • Das war noch Musik mit Herz und "Seele"-ehrliche Musik!!

  • when I want to hear this song I usually just pop in the movie- the opening sequence with the song is very cool and adds to my nostalgia for it,

  • Amazing music, amazing singer...

  • The one & only Nancy Sinatra... she sure was gorgeous in her day...

  • we were lucky to have grown up in these times great song pretty gil and great memories BG

  • A beautiful song redolent of exotic love and seductive danger in a distant past and place.

  • Lana del rey

  • @Quex01 Amen!

  • One of the best songs, ever.

  • James Bond, the coolest motherfucker ever.

  • I have my early life time dreams. It seemed like the previous life. Thank you for those who protected me. I also forgive who made the mistake. Now we needed to arrange for our future.

  • Secret of John Barry was, that he knew, what makes music beautiful.

  • The best Bond theme that wasn't sung by Shirley Bassey.

  • Dedicate this to Vaclav Havel, who died today. He died on the operating theatre a few years ago. Today he died again. RIP , a gentleman is a world full of sharks.

  • And love is a stranger who'll beckon you on.....1966-1967.....don't think of the danger, and make one dream come true.....I did!!!!

  • A woman so beautiful and with that voice, nothing else can be said.

  • i remember i bought the 40 year old aniversay edition of james bond back in '02. this disc has joined me since my teenage years, and specially this song is my definition of sublime. 50 year aniversary, here we go!!

  • I don't really like Nancy Sinatra , but I like the song.

  • why can't 60s radio play this on a regular basis like they do other 60s songs that i am so sick of hearing?

1960s seems to have the most beautiful music ever made just as the late 1970s had the best dance music ever made.

  • she lovely..x

  • best bond movie with the best bond girls

  • I wish i could have lived the time when they had this kind of music

  • @HotDamn70 i wish i could have lived in a time were birds like her were around!

  • @karl6709 Do you think you would have had a chance?Haha!

  • @scrappy5011 a few pints down the local i would have her wrapped around my little finger mate.

  • Bonds best into song ever

  • Is she related to Frank Sinatra?

  • @101ByDesign His daughter.

  • you only die once

  • Classic Bond song, beautifully sung by Ms. Sinatra.

  • To say Nancy did this justice is an understatement. Kudos girl.

  • I thought that was Shirley Bassey?!?

  • What a pretty song

  • Nancy.....with the laughing face. ;>)

  • nice little Thomas Kingcade painting in their

  • This song was stuck in my head all week!

  • Thank you for this video. It does the song justice. The pictures flow so well with the music. Thank you for making my favorite Bond song come to life.

Sean Connery is the best James Bond ever.

  • Fantastic Bond intro song!,LOVE IT! :) ,music like this is DEAD these days! :(

  • Long, long time since I've heard this. It brought a tear to my eye, reminding me of my schooldays. What a fantastic, timeless song, and sung by a fantastic singer. Well done, Nancy - Gotta love you!

  • This is one of the Best (Slower) James Bond themes.

The impact of using the minor key with major in the background gives the music a real dangerous and creepy qualit,y that makes complete sense with the James Bond themes in the music.

It is this quality that makes this theme very unique and special of all the James Bond composed movie themes.

  • I love this song, it's majestic! All of the covers of it are good as well!

  • This tune is inside my head from many, many years, from this I remember autumn rainy day when I hear "You Only Live Twice", I know this is the truth.

  • looooooooove the intro always have brings back memories of london in the sixties..

  • ♫Milleeeeenniuuuuum!♫

  • I was 10 in 1967 when I saw the film. I had to sit through the credits so I could hear the theme again. I was enthralled by it. It is a wonderful memory for me. I could have heard this song all night.

  • @avdreader1 My sentiments exactly! Great melody, Great song, Great voice!

  • There is only one contemporary singer today who could do justice to this song: Jackie Evancho!

  • Movies I remember so entertaining and memorable for the company and night we spent at the theater, You Only Live Twice, Easy Rider,The Good The Bad The Ugly, Hard Days Night, They just dont make em any better, though a few as good

  • i'm waiting for someone to do a really good trip hop version of this. until then, the collabration of nancy sinatra and john barry is excellent.

  • 1:38 -FOREVER ALONE

  • @EmpGrevious LOL

  • you might only live twice! buy you shiv thrice

  • GREAT VIDEO, Amazing song and memory. Your images are fantastic and really inspiring. reminds me of my youth, and the great portrait shot of her reminds me of what my partner richard would have loved. i wish he could live twice - THANK YOU FOR THIS! Namaste

  • Didn't realized Nancy Sinatra sang this song. Brand new respect for her. Great Job!

  • That's a cool piece of artwork showing at 1:24

  • I LIKE !

  • So little lyrics, but such a good song. :)

  • That song does put me in another world

  • why cant current singers SING like this?.....the lack of talent around these days is embarrassing!

  • @sothere67 No joke! It seems like all talent dissipated after the 1990s.

  • @sothere67 Or maybe you are just looking in the wrong place? Try Melody Gardot

  • @jimmyhayers i think i must be.. i will check her out (so to speak) thanks

  • @sothere67 My thoughts exactly. No 50 back up dancers, no meat dress, no studio voice tricks or stage fireworks to sell a song. Nancy had dad's talent genes.

  • @sothere67 Evert single video... Every. Single. One.

  • @sothere67 Many of them can, you are only too fixed on superficiality to notice.

  • @sothere67 people get what people want. people buy lady gaga and rihanna, so the music industry produces more lady gaga and rihanna. it's not exactly a lack of talent.

  • @sothere67 uhms and ahs are specials these days.

  • Comment removed

  • @sothere67 talent is still here dude, they just don't invest in it anymore

  • @RaczKaroly1 Much more profitable to make something so bad it goes viral. Then it appeals to everybody.

Good music only appeals to the minority that likes that particular style (or that has good taste).

  • @sothere67 so true.. nowadays it's all about how good you can moan while singing, hahaha.

  • @sothere67: yes, imagine this today, destroyed with an autotune...

  • beam me up to 1967.. when I WAS 9

  • I don't often get this feeling, but when I hear this song it drives me crazy. I cannot stop listening and I hear it in my head all the time. This song is simply amazing. I cannot decide whether I like this version or the instrumental version most, they both have their own style and are incredible.

John Barry, who made this song and many other brilliant songs, was a pure genius. R.I.P & also Happy Birthday John ♥

  • @Vicanisme try cold play and bjork version... that'll mind fuck you

  • @Vicanisme try cold play and bjork version... that'll mind fuck you oh and japanese girls, you only live twice

  • A wonderful song, sung by a gorgeous girl ! ♥ Nancy's voice is heavenly and she was a real cutie ♥

  • hey oddjob , i don't know who robbie was but nancy sinatra ( daughter of chairman of the board frank ) was commisioned by the producer of the james bond movie to sing it's theme song. she sang her heart out & stole NOTHING !

  • Nancy was such a babe !

  • Bond has lived his first life, then he was shot by AK-47. Now he is living his last life... R.I.P the best Bond.

  • I like Bjork's version better.

  • Excelente pieza , una cancion que en verdad me hace sentir muy bien, hermosisima la voz de nancy.

  • @warriorcomic--well said. Yes, I kind of like the old way of meeting people and am not into this on-line crap. I agree with you point about meeting people in regular venues and them clamming up. For some reason members of the opposite sex have no problem letting it all hang out on the internet but meeting people in the old fashion way is such a chore for many---go figure!

  • @ruiseart-- Couldn't agree more. When ever I want to go back to the 60's You Tube is there to convey me back to an era long gone except in our memories. Say what you will about that decade, it was the "coolest" one by far and probably will be for centuries to come. Everything before this decade changed all that preceded it and to a certain degree all those that came after it!

  • @chuckbuckbobuck i'd wish to go back in time as well, when things meant something think about Charms, Romance, Politeness, Respect, oh you name it. Now-a-days everything is a big screw you. if you sit in the train and try to talk to some one.. they look at you if your mentally unstable 7 out of 10 cases!.

and about the Charms 'n romance... now a days they have Clubs that allow sexual activities... honestly the world has gone mad!

  • they played this at a funeral that i was at today xxx R.I.P Gerry

  • @julieanddavid lmao seriously? bet they were giggling to themselves there

  • @julieanddavid I will miss you Gerry! you were an angel that walked the earth...

  • dreamy

  • This also one of my fav songs and movie..

  • A great Bond film song for one of the better or best Bond films.

  • beautiful 60s girl with great voice, electric guitar licks with bond style theme, love it

  • You only live twice mr Bond !

  • The most beautiful song of the Bond serie.....period

  • Robbie Williams Millenium!!

  • @gnoffbandihoff esatto. robbie williams ha preso l'arrangiamento di questa canzone per fare millennium

  • This is Commander Shepard, and this is my favourite song on the Internet.

  • love 1967 , music is good

  • Holy shit! Nancy sang James Bond?!!

    Perfect fit, though.

Can you beat Sean Connery as Bond? No, you can not. (But Brosnan was great.)

  • Interesting woman. Couldn't have been easy trying to shine in her fathers light. She sings this song very well. Despite her legions of critics I always liked this song. Moving bit of songwriting and composing as well. More than a Bond theme.

  • i love this song;) its great;)

  • Some day I'm going to find the girl for me, and I'm going to play this song and dance with her. And I'll tell her that I've lived one life for myself, and now I'm going to live one life for my dreams, with her...

  • this song is so amazing with the orchestra in the back and that guitar (if that is a real guitar).Classic.

  • Am I the only one who thinks that this fits Mad Men perfectly?

  • Yes it's Nancy people.... sexy incredible Nancy....

  • @ogrebattle22763 who today has had more facework then joan rivers and heidi montag put together

  • @jenst92 So what who cares.... she was incredibly sexy back then... & she had a beautiful voice...

  • This was Nancy's best song by far....

  • yeah nancy sinatra was a total babe

  • Great song! Nancy Sinatra was an excellent singer. I wonder who did the arrangement of the accompanying music. That was excellent too.

  • @fighttheracists John Barry was the arranger and composer.

  • its from shirley bassey

  • i first heard this in a FOOD4LESS store back around 1994 and later my friend told me who sang this.

  • Women in the 60s were so beautiful...all we have now are miserable piles of make-up.

  • @SoleMan117 Judging from the photos, im pretty sure Nancy Sinatra wore a ton of makeup lol

  • @SoleMan117

Actually I think women of those days wore plenty of heavy makeup but they knew how to apply it in a way that seemed natural. But I somewhat agree that their faces were pretty to begin with.

  • Perfect Bond song. And also matched the movie perfectly with the volcanos and Asian setting...

  • I' ve always thought that David Bowie would be a great interpret of this song....the lyrics may be poor but the melody is interesting...

  • Hi I wish you success

  • I played this as a young 12 year old on trumpet at a brass competition in greenock came 2nd great memories

  • I can't believe Nancy Sinatra stole a Robbie song.

  • @jimmyoddjob777

It´s the other way around .....Smock!!

  • @jimmyoddjob777 wow, 5 thumbs up, and I was almost about to believe people can no longer dig sarcasm these days. :P

  • @jimmyoddjob777 You mean You can't believe Robbie stole a intro song made for James bond that was sang by Nancy Sinatra...

  • @warriorcomic LOL! Very true. Robbie sampled the intro for his song "Millennium"

  • @jimmyoddjob777 WOW ... you're an incredibly stupid person, aren't you?

  • @jimmyoddjob777 think you will find it's the other way round robbie stole the beat of this song off nancy

  • Duffy would be a great bond singer and villainess.

  • great song

  • This song seems to push her vocal range and abilities but not bad. She sure was good looking.

  • @crazyromanian1

If she wasn't good enough, she wouldn't sing a themesong for James Bond. They won't put a Paris Hilton next to Shirley Bassey in the themesong series...

  • @MCasinoW I better listen to this again because the first time it didn't do a whole lot for me.

  • love the song cos it reminds me of me,The life i live and the one of my dreams!

  • 28 people died in their dreams, the nerve of them disliking this great song

  • Great song but the 45 is MUCH better.

  • She doesn't kick the higher notes, maybe she's singing restrained or maybe because she can't, anyway it doesn't matter, this is great!

  • Dear All,

I am the sole husband of Lady Claire Littleton Sawers, formerly known as Thanh Duong.

John Sawers of UK, otherwise known as the Chief of SIS or MI6

  • always been my favourite bond song :)

  • Im paralized, Old minds comes, this is my favorite song, people today cant make good music :(

  • hey mate, don't go overboard you yanks are a little bit to enthusiastic, with love from from liverpool. sean.liverppool. u.k..

  • Wow, she's (was) Sooo beautifull :'')

  • what a beautiful song from a beautiful lady...god bless you nancy.
