I think she was the first kid to sing with her father successfully...but in all fairness, she did make great music for a while. her movie career was also short....
She was great but so rich because of her dad, I don't think that drive to succeed was there. She made maybe three hit songs, but tired quickly and moved on.
I have my early life time dreams. It seemed like the previous life. Thank you for those who protected me. I also forgive who made the mistake. Now we needed to arrange for our future.
Dedicate this to Vaclav Havel, who died today. He died on the operating theatre a few years ago. Today he died again. RIP , a gentleman is a world full of sharks.
i remember i bought the 40 year old aniversay edition of james bond back in '02. this disc has joined me since my teenage years, and specially this song is my definition of sublime. 50 year aniversary, here we go!!
Thank you for this video. It does the song justice. The pictures flow so well with the music. Thank you for making my favorite Bond song come to life.
Long, long time since I've heard this. It brought a tear to my eye, reminding me of my schooldays. What a fantastic, timeless song, and sung by a fantastic singer. Well done, Nancy - Gotta love you!
This is one of the Best (Slower) James Bond themes.
The impact of using the minor key with major in the background gives the music a real dangerous and creepy qualit,y that makes complete sense with the James Bond themes in the music.
It is this quality that makes this theme very unique and special of all the James Bond composed movie themes.
I was 10 in 1967 when I saw the film. I had to sit through the credits so I could hear the theme again. I was enthralled by it. It is a wonderful memory for me. I could have heard this song all night.
Movies I remember so entertaining and memorable for the company and night we spent at the theater, You Only Live Twice, Easy Rider,The Good The Bad The Ugly, Hard Days Night, They just dont make em any better, though a few as good
GREAT VIDEO, Amazing song and memory. Your images are fantastic and really inspiring. reminds me of my youth, and the great portrait shot of her reminds me of what my partner richard would have loved. i wish he could live twice - THANK YOU FOR THIS! Namaste
@sothere67 My thoughts exactly. No 50 back up dancers, no meat dress, no studio voice tricks or stage fireworks to sell a song. Nancy had dad's talent genes.
@sothere67 people get what people want. people buy lady gaga and rihanna, so the music industry produces more lady gaga and rihanna. it's not exactly a lack of talent.
@sothere67 I don't think it's a lack of talent but a lack of people who are famous AND talented! There are a lot of good singers around and nobody cares..
I don't often get this feeling, but when I hear this song it drives me crazy. I cannot stop listening and I hear it in my head all the time. This song is simply amazing. I cannot decide whether I like this version or the instrumental version most, they both have their own style and are incredible.

hey oddjob , i don't know who robbie was but nancy sinatra ( daughter of chairman of the board frank ) was commisioned by the producer of the james bond movie to sing it's theme song. she sang her heart out & stole NOTHING !
@warriorcomic--well said. Yes, I kind of like the old way of meeting people and am not into this on-line crap. I agree with you point about meeting people in regular venues and them clamming up. For some reason members of the opposite sex have no problem letting it all hang out on the internet but meeting people in the old fashion way is such a chore for many---go figure!
@ruiseart-- Couldn't agree more. When ever I want to go back to the 60's You Tube is there to convey me back to an era long gone except in our memories. Say what you will about that decade, it was the "coolest" one by far and probably will be for centuries to come. Everything before this decade changed all that preceded it and to a certain degree all those that came after it!
@chuckbuckbobuck i'd wish to go back in time as well, when things meant something think about Charms, Romance, Politeness, Respect, oh you name it. Now-a-days everything is a big screw you. if you sit in the train and try to talk to some one.. they look at you if your mentally unstable 7 out of 10 cases!.
and about the Charms 'n romance... now a days they have Clubs that allow sexual activities... honestly the world has gone mad!
Interesting woman. Couldn't have been easy trying to shine in her fathers light. She sings this song very well. Despite her legions of critics I always liked this song. Moving bit of songwriting and composing as well. More than a Bond theme.
Some day I'm going to find the girl for me, and I'm going to play this song and dance with her. And I'll tell her that I've lived one life for myself, and now I'm going to live one life for my dreams, with her...
Actually I think women of those days wore plenty of heavy makeup but they knew how to apply it in a way that seemed natural. But I somewhat agree that their faces were pretty to begin with.
If she wasn't good enough, she wouldn't sing a themesong for James Bond. They won't put a Paris Hilton next to Shirley Bassey in the themesong series...
