@urbex2007 dya wana chat anymore crap? This is brilliant piece of kit which these quick hatchbacks highly benefit from having!! Good work by Courtenays!!
i love vauxhalls they are the fastest affordable cars you can buy its good you can buy a used astra vxr today for 5000pounds that will keep up with a porsche
Waste of time, but a good money maker for those that fall for it. There is little point in having launch control on that car as it isn't fast enough to need it. It obviously doesn't work as the car limps off the line and is held back for a few seconds before accelerating. Stick to the traction control and don't be naughty misleading gullible people who buy air filters, remaps & exhausts that DECREASE their performance and cause damage. The chav market is a huge one, so good luck to you.
@urbex2007 I'm pretty sure that when mods such as air filters, remaps and exhausts are done right, there is a marked improvement in performance and should cause little damage unless you are unlucky. Seems you are just in need of a cuddle. Quit hating!
This is a total different thing from traction control as any of you's who have a tuned car like this one is then you would know that you have the traction control switched off. This is a Courtenay sport stage 3 tuned car, the boost is turned down on 1st gear to remove any unwanted wheel spin in 1st gear. Anyone can say what they want about this but imo this is a great bit of pure class work from both Courtenay and Klassen motors. Mikey
And since when did Vauxhall ever get Launch Control? It's traction control. And I don't know if it is the case with this car or not, but all other vauxhall's Traction Control is shockingly woeful!!!
Launch Control can be written into the ecu software when the ecu is remapped. It limits the engine revs below a specific wheel speed to reduce wheelspin.
@l3wiscav This is a vid by Courtenay Sport, its a LC 'kit', not standard TC. Though FWD is always gonna have an issue launching so yea doesn't look too quick.
Yes its part of the remap! works by limiting the revs in first gear so basicicly a rev limiter in first gear. Only problem is this wouldnt be good for your clutch as ur ment to just realise it fully
But traction control does the same by either limiting the power or applying braking pressure. Do you mean if you have the car idling in 1st and you rev it, it just stops the revs going past a certain point before you release it? Sorry for all the questions am interested in it for myself? :D

oh dear?
Here's me thinking this is a beast and it looks no more than 250bhp!
no need for launch control unless your running over 300bhp with more then 270lbst

Yes! Limits the Revs in first gear at 2k revs i believe. Its part of a remap.
donovan2123 2 years ago
also for people that don't know much about cars , it could be looked at as poor driving skills . Expect to be pointed and laughed at.
