also rosemary, the "flu like symptoms" he was experiencing happens FIRST before the blister like allergic reaction!!! so it's possible that he already had SJS before he took the motrin. hope this helps.

sjs is steven's johnson's syndrome, it's like having 3rd degree burns...your skin literally sloughs off... motrin CAN cause steven's johnson syndrome, so can antibiotics. the reason we are told NOT to take motrin/ASA/advil or ibuprofen is because it can cause gastric distress and a bleeding ulcer. what he experienced is an allergic reaction, he probably would have suffered from it even without gastric bypass, most likely NOT related! i'll post a vid later! ily xxoo~nicole

I carry a list of all medication and supplements that I take with me at all times. I have my doctor's name as well as my date of surgery and DOB. I have listed where you would put meds allergic to, that I can have NO NSAIDS! There is more reasons than just getting ulcers from continuing use of aspirin or aspirin related products.
