The first time I saw the E Types was at the Monterey Fair Grounds. They were one of many bands that played there. I've always remembered them and a few years ago was able to obtain their Greatest Hits album. It brought back great memories.
I was there, what a fabulous time with the KLIV's Battle of the Bands on the Santa Cruz Beach Boarwalk in 1965...The E-Types blew the other bands away !
Hi Bob, Did you guys ever use Rickenbacker 360/12 string guitars in any of your recordings. Thanks, Gary in Santa Rosa... ( who remembers the Coconut Grove and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk gigs of the mid 60s and KLIV )
@vwmodrock The first song we recorded was I Can't Do It in 1965 . . it was recorded with a twelve string guitar but not a Rickenbacker. We used a home made 12 string guitar on that song, but later on, we did buy a Rickenbacker 12 string and always used it as one of our guitars at our shows. The Rickenbacker was used in 1966 on a song we recorded called "Back To Me" . . grageband66 did a video using that song . . it's on my favorites list, check it out when you have time.
Fabulous song!! It was great to see nostalgic photos from the 1960's. Love the photo at :33 with you and John Sebastian of The Lovin' Spoonful. That is a very cool Triumph 650 motorcycle you owned in 1965. What kind of car was that in 1:33. Bob? Excellent lyrics by Larry Hosford. Thank you for sharing!!
cool stuff bob.great west coast merseybeat sound along with the cool english look.one of my favourites from the e-types.you should check out the allusions from sydney australia who were also doing the mersey sound from 1965-67.thanks...
Another classy recording by the E-types with gorgeous 3 part harmony. Thank goodness that Sundazed released Introducing the E-types on compact disc so we could all hear their music and not have to take out a second mortgage to buy the 45 singles!
Wow!... does this bring back some memories. Our band did some gigs with you back in the 60s. Good times.

I love this song! Thanks once again for posting this, Bob. RaggedStaffBassman's comment makes me want to go in search of those 45s, though....
