I am a mother of a beautiful 5 year old little girl, I had my daughter when I was 17 years old and there is a lot of people who bash teen pregnancy. Now she is 4 and smart as hell I raise my daughter better than most grown people can. I agree with GETOUTMAFaceHO. Abortion can also lead to complications with later pregnancies, or even sterility. Go with what your gut instincts tell you to do. Worse comes to worse, there may be an infertile couple who could adopt your child, if you haven't the means to keep it.

Truth is, there are lots of teens who try, choose, and wish to get pregnant, then show of their baby bumps on youtube proudly. This angers me because teen pregnancy is contagious. You could use your experience to try to warn young wanna be moms about the realities. No one wants to be told that they weren't wanted or passed off to daycare and grandparents.

I've got some news for you - birth control doesn't always work. I was using both a condom and I was taking birth control when I got pregnant.
And I've never met a single teen parent who would ever glamourise teen pregnancy. It's hard, and I tell people that I hope they don't find themselves in my situation. I do not support teens trying to conceive. I support those who found themselves in a hard situation and are trying to do the right thing.

My fiance has a job. I don't, but only because the college I go to is in another country and I travel too much to get one. We have savings and are planning on getting an apartment close to the college without using taxpayers money.

I graduated high school early at the top of my class. I'm now a junior in college with a 3.9 GPA - at 18.
As far as one's body not being able to handle pregnancy at such an age, I must raise the question of women in their late 30's and early 40's having children. The baby's dad, left when I told him I was pregnant, I havent heard from him since. I am currently living in a special place for teen mothers :) My parents kicked me out when they found out. t sucks not having their support. They call me at least once a week & tell me how big of a screw up I am, and how dissapointed they are in me :( To all you parents, all I have to say, Is be their for your children no matter what.
Hope you realize miss 17 yr old and pregnant that there is something majorly wrong with you having a baby and that is that you won't be financial secure to raise a child and that only means that us the tax payers will be paying for you and your child ...so i , as the tax player feel lonely . In my personal opinion, it doesn't matter if you have an abortion within the first few months of pregnancy. The baby doesn't have a developed brain and can't even think. You don't care about being killed if you were never really alive. If I had been killed as a fetus, I would be dead, so it wouldn't really matter to me. I think it's better to have an abortion rather than have a kid who is unloved.
I never said that having a baby as a teen means it definitely won't be loved. But I'm sure that a lot of teen moms do not love their babies. Not ALL, but a lot.

I liked this song alot. All these people on here bashing teen mothers need to stop, teen moms are just as capable of being good mothers as women in their 30s or older. Now she is 4 and smart as hell I raise my daughter better than most grown people can. I don't know what comments you've gotten about your situation, but I'm glad that you admit your mistakes. Truth is, there are lots of teens who try, choose, and wish to get pregnant, then show of their baby bumps on youtube proudly. This angers me because teen pregnancy is contagious. You could use your experience to try to warn young wanna be moms about the realities. No one wants to be told that they weren't wanted or passed off to daycare and grandparents.

I've got some news for you - birth control doesn't always work. I was using both a condom and I was taking birth control when I got pregnant.
And I've never met a single teen parent who would ever glamourise teen pregnancy. It's hard, and I tell people that I hope they don't find themselves in my situation. I do not support teens trying to conceive. I support those who found themselves in a hard situation and are trying to do the right thing.

My fiance has a job. I don't, but only because the college I go to is in another country and I travel too much to get one. We have savings and are planning on getting an apartment close to the college without using taxpayers money.
That's just my story, but there are other teens out there with similar stories. Not all teen parents are good parents, but not all parents in general are.
We chose life for our children. We chose to give our on lives up for them. Remember that.

I'm 18 and I'm pregnant. I got pregnant using both birth control and a condom. The father was one of my best friends growing up and someone I've been in a long term relationship with. He's the only person I've only had sex with.
I graduated high school early at the top of my class. I'm now a junior in college with a 3.9 GPA - at 18.

As far as one's body not being able to handle pregnancy at such an age, I must raise the question of women in their late 30's and early 40's having children. Their bodies are not designed to become pregnant and we all think they are the best candidates for parenthood as they are older, wiser etc. This is not a 20th century phenomenon, women were married and pregnant by the age of 16 in the late 1800's. And obviously it isn't history, it's still happening today. Maybe not on purpose, but still.
No contraception is 100% effective. I was anything but careless, we even checked the condoms after. And I took the pill on the dot each morning. I'm still pregnant.
And no one said all teen mothers are single. I'm still with the father of my baby.

Until recently in history it was not only common but the norm for girls who were 12-15 to have more than one child. Look through your family history and see how old some of your great grandmothers were when they had children, even.

In England billions are spent on teenage mothers . They are supposedly a high risk because obviously at 13 , 14 or even 15 years old the body isn't physically ready to deal with the stress it bears to be pregnant. Also in England there isn't such a religious following as there is in America and unfortunatley these girls stupidly get pregnant ( at that age i'm sure even a 13yr old is aware of the risks ) because they know they will be given the maximum help by the state , a home and benefits

i was 13 years old when I had my daughter Jaden and I love her to death yes it wasn't easy and it still aint she is four I am not 17 she was born on Christmas eve... she has cancer and she is currently dying... I will take up for and stand up for any teen who is pregnant or who is fighting to keep their baby.. some teens can not handle the pressure and that is why they drop out but if they had more support from their family and friends they would stay in school.

I had my first at 17 and just recently my second at 21. but i am doing great and others can do... just stay safe people . it isnt easy being a parent.

I have worked at many jobs because i like to have to idea that i am supporting my children. There are people out there that work hard but it dosnt change the tax they pay lol. It would still be deducted off there checks. It doesnt just go to teen mothers so stop trashing them. The baby's dad, left when I told him I was pregnant, I havent heard from him since. I am currently living in a special place for teen mothers :) My parents kicked me out when they found out. t sucks not having their support. They call me at least once a week & tell me how big of a screw up I am, and how dissapointed they are in me :( To all you parents, all I have to say, Is be their for your children no matter what.

In my personal opinion, it doesn't matter if you have an abortion within the first few months of pregnancy. The baby doesn't have a developed brain and can't even think. You don't care about being killed if you were never really alive. If I had been killed as a fetus, I would be dead, so it wouldn't really matter to me. I think it's better to have an abortion rather than have a kid who is unloved.

I am 17 and I got pregnant last year. I was planning on keeping the baby.3 months into my pregnancy I had a miscarriage. I knew I wasnt ready to have a baby yet but it was still devestating. I would do anything to get my litte Grace Mackenzie back.
