As authors, our books are just like our babies. They're our hopes and dreams and even our life stories manifested in poetic form. For example, I'm transgender, so I'm writing a novel about two transgender kids, one a boy and one a girl meeting and growing up together. I feel that there are hardly any books that cover this topic well enough. I want to make it really mature but also you can't help but have fun with it, whatever it is you write about. @IizScoPez publishing can be a very hard process, you can get over a ton of rejections but don't just go to one publisher, also you may have to get a literary agent who will revise your story. Find a publisher with the exact interest in what you are writing and give them a copy. They may reject it at first by making you tweak the story but it will take a while.
Im writeing book also , thats pretty short but i think its cool Story , wrieing on page 42 and it will be a bit ovet 50 or 60 but you know im only 12 , but its a Real and cool fanatsy story and i love my story !!! I think it super cool , is it worth to publish ????????

Getting one's first copy of one's book is such an amazing feeling. Being the author of 3 books, I understand and am so happy for you! :). Good job mate! I'll definately buy a copy.
Picked up the copy a few days ago, hard back edition and I love it so much.
I know what hard work is like, I have been preparing my book for almost 4 years and now I'm finally writing it. I'm taking hints and tips from other books on how to write it properly and so far it's going so well. I just designed the cover myself on photoshop and a tablet which allowed me to draw a graphic design of the character himself.
So in the summer of 2011 the release of Precognition is going to be a reality.
That's so many books...how many? 20? Did you give any away? Or can you not give any away? I don't know, I have no idea about what goes on in the publishing world.

@bubberdub No... he's an actual author who actually published an ACTUAL book, that is and has been in ACTUAL bookstores since the ACTUAL month of September, last year. These are copies that are sold to media and press before the final bookstore/public copies come in. The sequel to it is coming October of this year.

I know how you feel Kaleb, well done on your deal, I too got my first book deal for 2 with a publisher, the first being THE PET PSYCHIC by Joanne Hull story of my life with the animals, heartwarming etc, I always dreamt of writing and when I received the final typesetting just before print, I cried!!! Its got to be one of the most amazing things, I'm sure you'll agree, if you have a dream, just go for it! everyone can do it. When you hold that real copy OMG! Best wishes Kaleb for the future! xxx

Picked up the copy a few days ago, hard back edition and I love it so much.
I know what hard work is like, I have been preparing my book for almost 4 years and now I'm finally writing it. I'm taking hints and tips from other books on how to write it properly and so far it's going so well. I just designed the cover myself on photoshop and a tablet which allowed me to draw a graphic design of the character himself.
So in the summer of 2011 the release of Precognition is going to be a reality.

@bubberdub No... he's an actual author who actually published an ACTUAL book, that is and has been in ACTUAL bookstores since the ACTUAL month of September, last year. These are copies that are sold to media and press before the final bookstore/public copies come in. The sequel to it is coming October of this year.

dude, you are inspiring me, i am working on a fantasy book for 5 years now having created everything from the scratch (maps, nations,names etc etc). Seeing your succes makes me hope. Although i have the impreesion that in big countries like your one it is that bit easier to get published. But anyhow, i am very jealous, i wish i can experience that feeling one day too
