Paninaro is a word referring to a fashion that was born in the middle of the 80's in Milan, Italy. The paninari were boys and girls wearing expensive stuff like jeans and sunglasses by Valentino, Versace and Armani, Moncler jackets, Timberland shoes and boots. The word paninaro derives from the word panino (which means sandwich in italian) and they were called so because they used to hang out at places such as Mac Donald.

paninaro was a very popular style in Italy from 1981 to 1986.
a lot of boys and girls in that period were paninaro(boy) or paninara(girl).
This word in Italy means a man likes too much the sandwiches! But it was just a style!!
