@BlueOvalification It depends what super duty you have. But by default, I call BS on your super duty, buddy boy. A standard truck can carry one or two of this type of hay bale on a hitch fork or in the bed. Tow maybe half a dozen.
Lets see... 28 of those bales would weigh... about 11.5 tons, and that's assuming they're dry and not fresh, and how tight. It would take the most modern, 2011 model year F350/450 with a 5th wheel trailer and the special rear end package to tow close to that much.
@XStoneFace well they look like 6' x6' to me and they're really tightly rolled, so i'm gonna say at least 2000lbs each so combined thats at least 58000 lbs

You know it is real hard for these guys to drive these trucks when it is windy outside. You can see the trailor swerving back and forth. The drivers backs give out and they develop serious injuries over a period of time. It is a real tough job and I respect them. I can't tell you how many times they have helped with directions. Especially when we had our payphone business up through State College through to Punxsutawney. I could always count on them for accurate directions.

@sgttroyer Scania and Volvo have sweden as a home market and we have got a leagal max weight on the rig of 60000kg and a max leanght of 25,25meters. Becouse of this volvo and scania have had a race of who built the strongest truck scania went past volvos fh16 700 (700hp with their r730 (r cab 730hp) but now volvo launched the fh16 750 (750 hp) so in the hp department Sweden rules but in the looks USA trucks RULE. But the other brands in europe does rather suck.

@sgttroyer Don't know what truck you got but there is probably an internet forum of people that know about your engine. Lots of fuel makes lots of smoke. The fuel is usually increased for more power, as well as turbo boost. Monitor the engines running with an Exhaust Gas Temperature guage and keep it within safe limits, because more fuel and boost = heat. Keep temps down by using an intercooler and or water injection.
@sgttroyer well, my friend, perhaps your memory is foggy. maybe you should check out the volvo D16 ( 600 hp) or maybe the scania 730 (730 hp). i think it's safe to say the entire world needs trucks with powerful engines; not just you.
Very nice truck and very nice country side! Unfortunately in Europe haven't got too much Peterbilt and Ami trucks. Only saw one 362 in Hungary and the another one in London. In Europe we've got only boring looking trucks.

As far as UK trucks Volvos are the most common over here. They got a good start over here by taking over Autocar and White GMC. Volvo teamed up with Mack and there sales boomed. A I've only seen a few Scanias and they are ugly. I drove the newer ones and there like a car. The older ones are just trucks.

Monitor the engines running with an Exhaust Gas Temperature guage and keep it within safe limits, because more fuel and boost = heat. Keep temps down by using an intercooler and or water injection.

@sgttroyer well, my friend, perhaps your memory is foggy. maybe you should check out the volvo D16 ( 600 hp) or maybe the scania 730 (730 hp). i think it's safe to say the entire world needs trucks with powerful engines; not just you.

Very nice truck and very nice country side! Unfortunately in Europe haven't got too much Peterbilt and Ami trucks. Only saw one 362 in Hungary and the another one in London. In Europe we've got only boring looking trucks.

@csaszimusic In the US truckers love there trucks. The older Volvos we have here are very plain They had to do alot of work to make them as nice as our trucks. As far as UK trucks Volvos are the most common over here. They got a good start over here by taking over Autocar and White GMC. Volvo teamed up with Mack and there sales boomed. A I've only seen a few Scanias and they are ugly. I drove the newer ones and there like a car. The older ones are just trucks.
