The Mets didn't have much of a chance to win "the 2007 & 2008 National League East" as John McCain & Sarah Palin didn't win the 2008 U.S. Presidency. The "Phillies" continue to show mockery over the "New York Mets"
i cried on the last game...what would have been nice is the team would have came out on the field one last time to "shea goodbye"...oh well farewell shea hello citi...LETS GO METS (and citi field wont be the official home of the mets...shea will always be)...
You weren't alone. I cried so much and I can't even remember the last time I've cried. It was just so sad and heartwarming. They couldn't have done it any better with Piazza and Seaver.
I cried. Couldn't stop. One because the Mets lost, and that is another topic, but another is because Shea won't be there again. Shea was my summer home. Whenever I go to Citi Field, I'm saying I'm going to Shea. That will never change.
yo i remember i got my first car that day me n my dad were trying to fix it up at least that i could have drove it too school next day. i came inside to watch the ceramony when it was ending i started crying so much last time i cried like that was when the mets lost in 06 shea will always be the home of the mets no matter what
eh, shea stadiums final game was overshadowed by yankee stadium's final game IMO, but yeah, both new york stadiums were good, oh well, angels for 09 champs, lol
