3:07 lol is the inspiration for Cy-Borg...lol turn that down!!!! I have children SLEEPING in here..you boys used to be so nice.....he used to cut the grass...he was a very nice boy....
"The mind is like a parachute, it only works if it's open" -Zappa. What's the point of bickering over whether people like his solos or not. I doubt Frank expected everyone to love every bit of music he put out. Personally I love his guitar playing and it's great to hear bits in their that have been taken by more modern players, but people can be free not to enjoy them. The automatic putting down of someone because they don't like what you like is the kind of closed mindedness Zappa was against
Ill tell you all what i love about Frank's solo's people. I love the way he dangles you over a cliff edge by your fucking toes and makes you squeal for mercy, only to lift you back up and give you a massive hug. Dangerous yet tasteful. Fuck the haters. FZ is a BEAST!!!!!
@iperman68 what a constructive comment. And you do what? I'd suggest you listen to Inca Roads or about 100 other solos, or maybe just whatever. We were blessed with Frank Zappa. But using words like "crap" and "sucks"? Angry young man.
great to see this again. but now i'm a much bigger fan than i was then (just a dumb teen who thought Sheik Yerbouti was his best album at the time). It's kinda sad. he obviously had lots of music still to do and he still had a sense of humour about it.
it's funny how this documentary (good as it is) feels old-fashioned. then i remember '93 was 15 years ago. SCARY!

Too bad he didn't get to do that cyber sex related album. That might have turned out to be the next Joe's Garage.
