Spawn was a Secret Service and CIA agent with honors who was betrayed by his boss. He made a deal with the Devil to lead Hell's Army for being able to see Wanda (his wife) one last time. Unfortunately it's five years later, he's now completely crispy (burned alive and retains the scars) and loaded with necro-energy. At this point in the film he still hasn't figured out any of his powers, as with any good weapon, they work better with knowledge and practice.

Also. im a pretty big Violator fan and the Violator walks Funky in this movie, he is TOO BIG, he is way to CGI, way to wonky looking. it just looks like he is fake, and easy to beat the shit out of. i would have made him 9 foot tall MAX and i would have made him a silicone puppet, or something like the Alien Queen. he looks like a fucking CARTOON! do a little CGI, but make him out of tangible fucking rubber. and you cant say rubber looks fake (silicone) have you seen how realist it looks? sweet
