Well it originally was intended to be a different game entirely, and was changed by adding in Walter and a few SH2 references along with the cult. You'd actually would have to play the game to find this out or be a Silent Hill nerd like me. I agree this game strays the furthest from the story line, but I enjoy it none the less.

When Henry first enters the Hospital world, one views a cut scene showing the mysterious trench coat man chopping up a cadaver. If one looks closely at the body, one can see that it is Claudia, the creepy priestess from Silent Hill 3. This might have a deeper meaning to it. That or the Silent Hill creators just threw it in to mess with player's minds.

Yeah, but I was mainly reffering to this as a stand alone game. Usually you have to play all the games to understand the full story. because each game only reveals a small portion of the story as a whole, which makes you have to play the next game to get more of the story. For example SH1 and 3 were both connected storywise, but SH2 was a stand alone story mostly and SH2 revealed a few details about Walter Sullivan in SH4.

I remember I ran into that room to avoid the wheelchairs and the camera was at the angle where I couldn't see the head. I turned around, saw it and got so scared that I dropped my controller and screamed :P
