The way I came out to my Family was to show them the video on youtube : 20/20 my secret self. Then I explained to them that this was the way I felt. I found it to be much easier to explain to them that way.

I just sat my mom down and asked her questions and talked to her about it. She is very supportive, and for that I'm lucky. Your parents and friends may surprise you. And if your friends don't accept you, they aren't real friends. <3
If you go through the "FTM transition", I wish you the best. You seem to know what you want and who you are. I'm an FTM as well. Always considered myself a boy. If you have questions, do not hesitate to ask. : )
I dont think you can ask someone to make that decision for you. and i dont know that you need to make the decision between lables... just the fact that if you choose trans then what does that mean medically. that and you dont need to b trans to have chest reconstruction.... theres a million different ways/degrees of transistion. its all about being confortable with yourself... do you feel better with the term trans or tomboy?
