a) the authorities cover up for the police so some measure should be taken to stop polce feel they can get off with murder - in London they get off with murder simply cos they wear a uniform
b) if a protestor has action taken against him, ends up in court etc then his details are available, he is made to suffer for years, visa record etc
so perhaps the citizens have to take some steps similar to those of the authorities?

I consider myself left-center and I admire these protesters, but not covering protests is something done to all groups conservitive and liberial. It goes back to Kissenger and his stratigies for curbing Veitnam protests. Today it's used to stop the spred of extremism. It's called selective coverage and most major media corperations follow it if they don't then they are denied access and interveiws. The NRA had a rally where 500+ ppl showed with loaded AKs and it got almost no coverage either.
