I was in Zuccotti Park last week, there were more camera men then protestors, and then the protestors decided to 'take over' the subway. It worked for about 5 minutes until they suddenly saw that most people in NYC work and don't want some asshole in their way while they are trying to catch the train.

Even if banks didn't directly and explicitly break the law (they did, check out mf global for an example) they have broken the law in spirit as billions of taxpayers money was handed to AIG and then given to the banks to 'save' the system. Control is power and power corrupts, it implies some level of lack of freedom, which means our choices are limited and there are some things we cannot change within the system. If it results in a better world is questionable, but when things get bad enough there will be either revolutionary change or a massive compromise via the political system and probably a new monetary system.
