To put it simply, viruses infect a host cell with its RNA which destroys the cell so the virus can reproduce. Difference with humans is, if the "host" (Earth) dies then we die too. Humanity is working towards raising living standards which ultimately bring about sustainability and we have been on that path for all of history.

@MyDenis0 Well, when a change causes living standards to rise it provides a better life for virtually everybody. A raise in living standards means necessities as well as luxuries become more available to more people. Statistics show us that life for the average human has been getting better for generations across the globe. The only exception is many African countries but even now people are putting their heads together to solve that problem. Books like "Dead Aid" will explain that.

@MyDenis0 Evolutionary success does not take us away from nature in any way because it is not exclusive to humans. Plenty of creatures' evolution has been specialized so they can be extremely successful.
Pain can make people grow but it is not necessary for growth and has a chance of backfiring. People will always have spiritual and social conflicts, but raising living standards can put in motion the steps we need to make these problems less detrimental.

He said that the soul, or any form of higher spiritual power, is born when the mind craves permanency and eternal peace as a result of natural insecurities as well as fears. The "permanency" of the soul is created by the impermanency of the mind so it is fundamentally not what the believer believes it to be.
He has slightly different ways of explaining it, but that is the central theme of his talks concerning the soul.

What you may call your OWN consciousness and it's thoughts are really learned from another. Thoughts themselves come from nothing(like the universe) and thoughts go back there too. A raise in living standards means necessities as well as luxuries become more available to more people. Statistics show us that life for the average human has been getting better for generations across the globe. The only exception is many African countries but even now people are putting their heads together to solve that problem. Books like "Dead Aid" will explain that.

@MyDenis0 Evolutionary success does not take us away from nature in any way because it is not exclusive to humans. Plenty of creatures' evolution has been specialized so they can be extremely successful.
Pain can make people grow but it is not necessary for growth and has a chance of backfiring. People will always have spiritual and social conflicts, but raising living standards can put in motion the steps we need to make these problems less detrimental.

He said that the soul, or any form of higher spiritual power, is born when the mind craves permanency and eternal peace as a result of natural insecurities as well as fears. The "permanency" of the soul is created by the impermanency of the mind so it is fundamentally not what the believer believes it to be.
He has slightly different ways of explaining it, but that is the central theme of his talks concerning the soul.

When he says " life and death are the same movement" , there is such love and care in his voice. If you can see Krishnamurti without any veil in between, it becomes very easy to touch the place from where he speaks. Strangely, It feels like home.

@DontEatEggs666 He says the truth is a pathless land and cannot be reached by intellectual analysis or introspective dissection. What you may call your OWN consciousness and it's thoughts are really learned from another. Thoughts themselves come from nothing(like the universe) and thoughts go back there too. That nothing is silence, where creativity lies. It is the gap between the two sides of the brain. Just don't get caught up in the tremendous urge to succeed you may be conditioned to doing.
