great for teens doing something active and pro health. how often do we hear of teens giving up their free time to stick their necks out for a health cause? not often. I think the US needs more stories of positive teens, we have a lot to offer. I hear on the news about this teen that did blah blah and "where were their parents.." and here are teen volunteers getting excited about something that isn't endangering anyone and promtes a healthy choice. wtg! - from the west coast
I doubt this campaign is about kids pushing the propaganda of pharmaceutical companies. If anyone bothered to visit the FACT website, they'd realize that.
I think it's about exploiting a statistic to harness anger and prevent youth from starting to smoke. I also think it's a clever tactic to target youth in such a manner, as 90% of smokers start before they're 18 years old.
It's not at all about cessation, NAZIs, propaganda, the richest people in the US or even prostitutes. Sorry, dudes.

Programs like this are a SCAM to put more money in the pockets of the pharmaceutical companies. I wish Americans would get a clue as to how they are being used by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the ACS, AHA and ALA.

These 8000 deaths are a computer generated number. The program takes garbage in and puts garbage out. No bodies are examined, they assume certain disease is smoking related and count those as deaths, no science is used.
Anyone who thinks this is a great commercial forgot it's easier to brainwash kids than sensible adults. I also know 8,000 people dying from smoking per year is fictional unless you can show me documented proof of 8,000 people who specifically died from smoking in WI.
Big Tobacco lies a lot, but so does the multi-billion dollar nicotine replacement drug industry and their political front groups, the most despicable of which are those who use gullible kids to promote their agendas.
The truth is out there, but you won't find it from either Big T or FACT. Parents, before you allow your children to become brainwashed by FACT, check them out thoroughly. Ask them for a full funding disclosure. If they refuse to comply, keep your kids away from them.
