I just recently purchased my first serious setup and got a triumph series St. Croix. I have to say it is freaking awesome though, especially compared to the other specialty technique pro level rod cost. I will probably be buying two more very soon, and I don't care wtf they are made.
i just bought a mojo bass today. heard great things about them. i crunched my fathers old 81 st croix in my car door. oops. it was the best rod ever.
i think they use to be made in the US but now Mexico is that correct? i know they are made in Mexico now, but i don't understand why they advertise that they're made in North America. who does that? just say where its made...
@jaxgal618 well yeah, duh. im just saying...they advertise on the product that its made on a general continent, making it seem like its made in the US. it use to say made in the US, now it says made in north america. its weird. just say made in mexico if thats where its made. maybe in 20 years from now it will say made on earth.
pogon02 overpriced?, I must disagree. $70 an excellent price and not overpriced but under-price, not sure if your able to find a better deal unless it's a used/blem and can last as long or better. Surely you spend more on snow tires/boots so compare other equipment and see that $70 is well worth it. With great care, it will last for generations to come, priceless, do you not agree.
St. Croix really knows their stuff. The new mojo rod series offers even better quality at an amazing price. They are all designed for specific techneques. If you can afford it I would recommend the Tournament Legend series. If you want to perfect a techneque that rod will give you greater feel. The are lite and sensitive with out sacrificing strength. It's even worth getting a second job if you have to. Worth every penny and beats putting it on credit.
See you there on the Weekend...I was there Wednesday night too.

nice rods but way overpriced if they are the largest rod maker in North America they could afford to drop the prices a bit LOL
