  • When this fire was over, we did a search and found o foot...A HUMAN FOOT! We didn,t know where it came from so we took it back to the fire house and ate it.

  • wow...super aggressive. ha ha

  • Whats the procedure of becoming firefigther in chickago and Ny?

  • why does this video need an ad?

  • Seems like they got much time :o

Can't understand american firefighter tactics -.-

  • you guys fight fire a little diffrent than we do in tennessee

  • Interesting...very interesting. Stay safe guys!

  • Does anyone know if you have to live in Chicago to become a firefighgter in the city?

  • @drummer24fd yes. If you work for any city dept. police, fire etc. you must be a resident of chicago

  • @alarmoffice711 alright thanks alot

  • @alarmoffice711 i thought you had to live within the suburbs...

  • @drummer24fd I dont believe u have to live in chicago but im guessing u have to live somewhere close like 10 miles or less then the fire house

  • great knockdown guys!!!!!! Amazing.

  • Was their any cause of the fire and what is the frequency you are using in this area of Chicago.

  • @Jabbajawz4life main fire alarm office covers north of 22nd st. is 154.130 and south of 22nd is Englewood fire alarm office is 153.770 however digital radios are in the works. I don't know cause.

  • do they seriously still wear the long coats and rubber boots?

  • @RonaldReagan7 no. they were issued full bunker gear tear and a half ago. this is an old fire

  • @alarmoffice711 and honestly in my opinion it was awesome that these guys kept the tradition alive longer than any other dept that i know of.

  • @alarmoffice711 Many aren't happy about this!

  • full bunker gear was issued over a year ago

  • do you guys still wear hip boots and long jackets?

  • No, we use the bunker gear now. We were one of the last departments in the country to use the 3/4 length coats.

  • I love how people like to critique the video and say "they shoulda done this way" or "I would have done it this way"...just STFU and leave it to the pros.....

  • @BOSTONIRISH17 I would have spit on it a few times....I'm just saying.

  • @BOSTONIRISH17 that's called buffing haha i hear you man

  • wow!!! they should of went inside to hit the fire its blowing out the window. thats the best inside job as an firefighter on the hose line.. everybody did gud accept the engine crew.. The ladder co. was even cuttin the roof for ventalation. wtf!

  • @trizzybone1 you don't know what your talking about do you?

  • the squad and van are sent as soon as fire is confirmed

  • If the sqaud and command van were ther, wouldn't it have to be at least a Still & Box?

  • no. the squad and command van are sent on the full still (confirmed working fire). not a Still and Box Alarm

  • Yes, a still alarm is a report of a fire, a still & box is when an additional source or fire personel on scene confirm a working structure fire

  • @aceofspades245 Nope squads and command van come on a working fire.

  • Wondering why the attack line did not enter the front door

  • yeah seriously.... all hes doin is pushin that shit back in

  • Most likely because the front door is on the side of the house (sector 2) as is the case with some Chicago bungalows. So where the fire was blowing out the windows on sector4 is about the same spot in sector 2 where the door would be. and typically the door is at ground level or is up a a few steps on a really small porch (too small for more then 2 people to stand on)

  • they had 2 lines in the building going in on the side and one to the first floor and one to the basement. The flames coming out of the window in sector 4, just right of the chimney is in a closet. that's why I had to lead out from E94 and hit it from the alley. it was a pretty good fire.

  • Is that you on the pipe?

  • @pvill90 Hey Jerkoff! I was asking a simple question which was answered over a year ago, so get a grip. I really dont need a sarcastic reply from the peanut gallery. I unlike you probably,am a True fireman w 24 years ,thats how firemen learn we ask questions And in case you never learned this COMMON SENCE SAYS if you dont know then ask. assholes with stupid comments like yours do nothing but smell bad.

  • excellent video!
