this is also a big change because just a year ago you could buy gold in vietnam right at the spot price..a friend of mine brought back a 1 chi gold bar for me and he paid spot

I've been to Vietnam and paid for everything in US Dollars because of the weakness in their own currency. Now the dollar is weakening I'm not surprised that they're panicing by spending more for gold than the spot price. The use of the dollar is prominant in so many countries... so the death of the dollar is going to screw more than just US citizens. My message is buy gold while it's still this low!

euro will become probably the strongest currency going forward, until china start to take over the world, i think the dollar will keep slipping for a while, but will never get to the levels it was, and if UK and a few other countries join in with the euro it will become stronger alot quicker
