  • 2:14 extract from wikipedia: A mammoth is any species of the extinct genus Mammuthus. These proboscideans are members of Elephantidae, the family of elephants and mammoths, and close relatives of modern elephants. They were often equipped with long curved tusks and, in northern species, a covering of long hair. They lived from the Pliocene epoch from around 4.8 million to 4,500 years ago.

It's mammoth meat because, it's formed to look like meat.

  • lol how are you not fat?!

  • It's called Mammoth Meat due to it's flavors, it can only compare to the luxury that is Mammoth Meat > 3<

  • lol doritos!!

  • u looked like u didnt like it. but if it was good i guess its good lol

  • Well i think it's called mammoth meat because it is supposed to be dried out meat or something. also because the meat bone on the front looks cool and fun and makes you feel like a barbarian. :)

  • @ShadowBlueSoul XD barbarians? WE AINT OUR ANCESTORS !!!!!!!! >:3 WE DONT EAT LIKE THEM!

  • SO INTERESTING

  • sounds crispy. i wanna have one...

  • i.... want... it... now...... XD

  • No way. I will have to try that.

  • Wow, you read Metropolis? When did this start?

"Mammoth Meat" - isn't that the name of an edible sex toy? Doesn't sound like something I should be able to find at a conbini. Wait... Scratch that. That's EXACTLY the sort of thing that would be sold in a convenience store in Japan.

  • Lol! Hilarious...if i make it over there some day im gonna have to try all of those bizarre foods!

  • maybe it's just another crunchy junk food but I'd surely try it one of these days. I wonder if it's sold here in Kansai, too.

  • lol, i love your reaction when you try it :D

  • *takes a bite*

    *crunching*

    That's good.

    *more crunching*

    Lol. Nice.

  • 'it's another cracker'

    hahaha!!

that snack looks very interesting to try out.

  • 250 million years? Well, the dinosaurs died 60 million years ago, so i pretty sure there weren't any mammoths 250 million yrs ago. yes, i know you realise your mistake.

  • its called mammoth meat because it looks like it. At the back of the chip bag you see a picture and the meat is sliced into a piece and thats how it looks like the chip and the flavor is almost like how to they cook it with salt or yakiniku flavor?

  • in fairness you're gettin' better in opening a package now haha ;)

  • hmm...you didn't eat the hole cracker....Is it really good? :)

Maybe...someone that acuallly tasted mamuth meat ate the cracker found the tast to be similar....

    MVHH

  • These tasted like crap when I had them in July.

  • That's sooo Japanese. lol. It seems like they always come up with funny idea.

  • O_o. weird. i was expecting some kinda dry meat. i am wary.

  • i love eating these!!

  • I was expecting beef jerky, but Doritos are good too.

  • "...thats good"

    lol

  • LMAO unintentional racial slur!!

  • All of these snacks make me so jealous because my Japanese grocery store just closed =_=

  • Did you ever have the Candy ソダキッズ?

In English it is called " LION Soda Kids Candy"

The packaging is cool and the candy is good x)

It is sweet and it has fizzy stuff inside of it.

The stufff you have has such a weird name hahah but looks like fun for a little kid to snack on.

  • ooh, i've always wondered about what that was xD I heard of it sometime long ago, lol

    Nice vid anyway :D

    love your snackvids!

  • Japan has awesome snacks! haha

  • looks like haw flakes..only that it is crunchy..

  • ''Hajime ningen ギャートルズ''

    Bryan wa shiranai to omou.

  • @runnyrunny999

    Un.....wakaranai... lol

  • @systemjap you part craker

  • I needs da Mammoth meat!!!!!

I've often sat up late at night wondering what a mammoth would taste like....now I know....mammoth tastes like Doritos!

  • @BusanKevin i think real mammoth meat is not like doritos its diffrent from it

  • you can do food reviews well my friendo.

i think its called mammoth meat because of it's alliteration and it's catchy.. at least when said in english. and meat lovers like the idea of eating the meat of extinct animals.

  • Dude, those really grew on me. Yakinikunotaremi was the bomb too!

  • @Draquoir

Gahh I never tried yakinikunotaremi =S

  • @systemjap who you calling cracka cracka

  • it really IS weird, gives me the creeps oO

  • So maybe the chips are kinda salty? I wanna try some

  • @ck1film

Yeah the chips have salt and pepper on them =]

  • haha you don't look like it tastes "good" ;) Maybe neanderthals used so salt their meat and slice it finely. Maybe they had their own deli?? LOL

  • with that drawing on the package and the way the chips looks, they might got the idea from this old Japanese caveman cartoon they used to have when I was like 5 or 6. in the cartoon they ate mammoth as a source of food, and the meat was always in layers.

  • You're not exactly selling it!

  • haha, awesome :)

  • xD!

  • You have found any of those pre-historic foodstuffs or other dollar store delicacies that might have a smoky taste, like beef jerky or Teriyaki flavor?

    Great videos!!!

  • Your the man!!

  • ^_^ great vids i luv theses^_^

  • @pauljr9413266684

    Thanks for always watching!

  • no problem^_^ i allways watched your vids^_^

  • haha. just learned the kanji for meat today. weird.

  • I think that first they got the product and then they came up with a name.

  • daym it, you made it looks so good and I wanted to reach into the monitor for one. thx for the video

  • Wow... kinda kewl.

I can't think of anything as kewl here in Washington.(that's usa)

    Thanks for sharing... 5 stars.

  • Personally, I think what happened 250 million years ago is just a little beyond the scope of current academic knowledge.

In other words, Japanese advertising is once again working it's magic with non-sensical statements.

  • Right when you took the cracker-thingy out I thought "It'd be fun to eat it by eating it layer by layer..." I'm glad you agree XD

Mammoth meat..seems like a really odd name. Maybe Doritos are secretly made out of mammoth meat.

  • *GASP*

    You....might be right....
