  • Excellent... amazing the sound you're getting from such a tiny instrument.

  • thanks so much Randy....

    ukes are amazingly fun :)

  • Absolutely wonderful musicianship...

  • thanks so much John....hugely appreciated :)

  • Look out, sue cow!!

  • yeah....she keeps pushing me to my limit....but i love her though :)

    thanks Mary-Anne

  • your plucking abilities make me feel bad about my entire life :[.. also i feel really awful for sue cow, you're being pretty horrible to her! (i'm also laughing really hard as i type this) but really! poor sue cow.

  • dear weesamin,

do not feel bad....i've seen some of your picking technique and i also love some of the 'wrap around' chording technique you use....that i am unable to do...due to my 'ham-fistedness.' :)

simply said, you have skillz girl!

and as for sue cow....let it be known....i am a 'peace-loving' man.....it's just that sue cow has a tendency to 'push my buttons' as it were.... :)

  • Another question for you, Todd--are you using banjo strings on your modified bari-banjo uke? You've got me totally curious about that instrument...

  • Hi Bjorn,

i put nylon guitar strings on the banjo....a D,G,B, and E string.....i love it :)

  • Yay for homemade music, friends, and the skiffle revival!

I have a portable music player...its called an ukulele (or blues harp when I want really portable).

  • right on KP....i'm with ya!!!!

  • Man, people with far less talent are making cds, you should think about making one.

  • Thanks....i do that quite often....if you go some posts back on my page you can see my post about the latest cd project :)

    'brother sonny's share time....the cd'

    cheers,

    todd

  • Great stuff ! My only complaint about watching you is that it reminds me how much I need to practice .....

    :)

  • Hi Caroline,

    hope all is going well.....

thanks so much....i like woodshed's advice about practicing.....'do it until it stops being fun' something along those lines......i remember learning guitar in my mid-teenage years.....my dad would holler upstairs "Todd, enough.....shut up!"

hours and hours of me 'clunk, clunk, clunking' on the guitar ha ha...because i enjoyed it so much.....

if only i would've felt that way about my studies ;)

    talk soon,

    todd

  • that fingerpicking's great here. you're takin' it to the next level.

...and "i'll break you're leg with a stick" is a pretty gangster thing to say to a cow

  • thanks so much Ben....hope all is well....

yeah, i have to get kind of 'gangster' with ol' sue cow.....stubborn thing ;)

  • Todd strikes again! Homemade music is our futur.

  • Diez,

    thanks friend....to the future!!! :)

  • Never heard this song before but it's great.

  • thanks Tony :)

  • thanks so much Mike! :)

Adelle gave me a Uke Congress Sticker....nice....gonna go right on my baritone most likely.....

  • great take todd!

i've got some bo carter here in the house.

this makes me think of being in the fields with my father in law and hearing him call the cattle " sooo calf". typing does not do it justice, believe me.

  • thanks so much UJ,

very cool...yeah typing it out doesn't give it that distinct tone, pitch, ring....i'm sure :)

  • Cheers to homemade music, indeed. You are a reliable distributor of the quality sort.

  • thanks so much dear lady :)

    oh and btw....YOU ROCK!

  • Animal rights groups might have something to sat about this!! Great song!!

  • ha ha....thanks Phil.....

i guess i'm ol' school....if sue cow kicks...she's gonna get it! :) just kidding :)

  • I've got a Petaluma Holstein here who's got a beef with this, but I love it.

  • ha ha thanks Bruce....

i stayed in petaluma for a couple of months when i was in my early 20's, met some colorful people, did a stint at the Petaluma Hotel, and saw lots of farmers who sold their land and made lots and lots of dough sitting in one particular bar enjoying beer and cigarettes....funny how those memories stick with you.... :)

  • i really hope that sue cow doesn't kick. nice one Todd!

  • Thanks Russ,

me too....i'm a peace-lovin' guy, but she has a tendency to push me to the edge :)
