  • In this video, Curt is absolutely lovely, cute, takes my "head over heels"...

  • May I ask what did I say or do in my last comment that would be rude, worng, offensive and the like??... To me, that what would be a reason to thumb a comment down... Now look, I'm a huge TFF fan. I saw them this past summer & They, Curt and Roland were great... yes the group is Curt and Roland. I have loved both since the start. I see no reason to push a fellow TFF fan away from a vid or anything because one fan may like a member of the group over another. I love both about the same.

  • I hear ya Celeste K... someone thumbs down my comment or should I say that someone or people keep thumbing down my comments... or they say Curt really isn't that good or whatever. the thing is Curt is real cool. He's such a good guy. He talks to you and lets you know that you are important. Ok, he and I don't agree on some things but man he's been just the best. It's made me love the group more. I love Mr. RO he has an amazing voice and talent. I'm sorry I do love Curt as well.

  • Curt and Roland always fought-I watched tears for fears the movie it explains how they came to be and were ship-wrecked for awhile and reshiped with a different sound this different sound today has no future.

  • scary video :o

  • seen this to day on an old video tape from about 1986 it was nice looking back at music i use to tape on video

  • A what a man he grew into!!!!

  • Curt! Curt! Curt! Hey gypsy, you chatting up Willow?

  • Willow and I share many of the same opinions and have become friendly with each other thru YT.She is very special!!

  • Willow, thats a beautiful comment and absolutely true!!!

  • It's one of the things I love about YouTube. With just a few clicks of the mouse, you can go from Rockpalast where, if that boy isn't deferring to Curt, he's hiding behind that flap of hair, so very wary of the spotlight, to Hammersmith, where he's so much more comfortable in his own skin, so composed and assured, and then to Massey, where he's all "Look Ma, no hands!", revelling in what he can do and what he's created, and watch that extraordinary young man grow into his gifts all over again.

  • omg one of them cut his hair short, they are the real ppl, but this says 'US mix' so im guessing that its not the same to the album song

  • 80's are forever

  • Obviously thats an opinion few people share with you!

  • Apparently not. 6 negatives, that's a bit fuckin harsh! And I love this song too. Yer all orrible bastards. I only said I preferred Curt to Roland... I'm not even gay!!!!

  • What does being gay have to do with anything? Most people prefer Roland was the extent of my comment. Why the attack? The harshness comes from you.

  • Sorry for my harshness, I guess I can't cope with all this rejection. I just think Roland's face is too big, Curt's so much prettier. I assumed everyone felt the same way as I did, how could I have been so wrong? Sorry Gypsy.

  • No reason to feel rejected! When I first saw the TFF videos I too thought Curt was cutest in their younger days but Roland has much more charisma and during STSOL era not too many men were sexier than Roland!!! most people on here love Roland and consider him the most talented. And no apologies needed!

  • Thanks. Felt rejected cos I got 6 negative replys and my message had also disdappeared! I guess after that, Curt left anyway, Break It Down Again etc. Still prefer Curt anyway. PS favourite 80s song is Brilliant Mind by Furniture. Heard it?

  • I can't say I have. BTW Roland has done some fabulous music sans Curt!

  • Curt might have been prettier, but Roland was more beautiful in every way that counted. So ferociously talented and, God bless him, he wore that talent like a little kid in oversized clothing, like he was swimming in it, tripping over it, it could break your heart just looking at him. He gained such poise, such confidence as time passed - what a thrill it was to see him in such full and joyful bloom when this clip first came out.

By '89, he was the prettier one, too. But that never mattered.

  • I know what you mean! Right around the time I started to wonder what I ever saw in Smith, Orzabal turned up beautiful beyond words, but still that paled next to the wonder of his voice and raw talent. It is wonderful to see him so happy and dancing with abandon as he is here. Makes me happy for him, even after all this time.

  • @willowmansdaughter Wow I love the way you articulated that about Roland,, I could'nt have said it better!! we definnitly watched this sunflower bloom!!

  • do you like curt? i do.

  • I like curt too! He's awesome. XD

  • I have'nt watched this in awhile! Yeah,Curts cute but Rolands hotter and that voice!

  • Some of Ro's fans take things a little too far and like to try and censor people who don't happen to agree with them.

  • Sorry but this song WAS ON the Songs from the Big Chair album.

  • 281COBRA: I think what the guy was saying is that this VERSION is not on "Big Chair," which it isn't. This video is the 1986 re-recording of the song for release as a single. The album version is quite different.

  • Always enjoyed this version (was not on their "Songs from the big chair" album).

  • I can't name a one and only favorite TFF song, I love all of them and Rolands solo work too. What I absolutely love and adore about this video is seeing Roland dancing and just so happy! :)

  • I'm right there with ya SpittingKitty! At least in the central US, I wanna see them sooo bad :-(

  • Damnit, TFF, tour the northeast US. You're killing me!!!

  • Couldn't agree more. I would even pay for ridiculous high cost $100+ tickets to see these guys live!

  • so much better than the original

  • I agree.

  • Great song.Fun video!

  • hmm, agreed.

  • I love seeing 80's videos like this because it reminds me what it was like when the biggest fear we had was the world ending due to nuclear war.

Now it's not the biggest fear, but somehow the new fears seem more horrible.

  • Man, I can't help but find myself listening more and more to songs from my youth like this one. Truly amazing era that produced SO MANY incredible songs!

  • This song is brilliant!

  • Oh he does not. Roland dances like he's Roland,.

  • Sounds like someone is jealous. Can you do any better?

  • Naw this came out in '86.

  • I never understood why they had a "US Mix" as the version on the original LP was much better and more dynamic. Although this version's music video is much more interesting. Tears For Fears is mainly forgotten these days, but they deserve to be in the ranks of the top musicians of all time, their music has really stood the test of time. Artists today (if you can call them that) can't, write, sing or sample this masterfully or creatively.

  • "my features form with a change in the weather..."

  • RO's dance is eye candy! I want to get up and dance with him for the rest of my life... here and in the other two vids 'Sorry' and 'Humdrum and Humble' by nourset. Sizzling....

  • is he saying my pictures form whit the change in the weather? or born? its hard to understand the voices somtimes.

P.S curt is realy realy hot at 4:15!!!!!

  • LOL he says "my features form with a change in the weather". And I agree, Curt's intensity at the end of this vid is HOT! And that's coming from a Roland lover ;)

  • I believe he said that this line was in reference to mothers telling their kids "If you keep making that face, it's going to freeze like that."

  • Roland said in an interview, his mother would say, 'your face will stay like that when the wind changes,' after making a face. Great song, great group

  • On the scenes of the big chair dvd he says that it is about the mother's tale of telling kids that. Not his mom in particular. But I will watch it again to make sure my memory isn't playing tricks =)

  • That's disgusting. :p

  • Classic Tears for Fears Song!! I Love IT!!!!!

  • Tears for fears fuckin rule! they have nice lyrics just like, CelesteK said!

    wauws love that time..

  • very true. But there is nothing wrong with singing about partying or good times either. Although they did eventually grow out of the synth pop style and became more mainstream which was good too!

  • Have you listened to "Famous Last Words." It might be their greatest song. It's so deep yet its so simple!

  • No i haven't actually.

  • then what are you waiting for, this is youtube lol?

  • Okay. ;)

  • A great video!!!

  • My favorite TFF song is "Woman in Chains" but this is next in line! It makes me want to jump around like a nut!

  • Mine is Shout from Songs From The Big Chair.

  • Holy crap i see you on like every tears for fears video..... Nice! I love watch me bleed! But right now The way you are is my favorite!

  • Cool. :)

  • Thanks. I've got defend the boys from Bath. :)

  • Sorry: I've got to defend the boys from Bath.

  • Have to agree on Woman in Chains. Awesome song.
