  • This is cruel... your holding the cat down

  • I am a Huge animal lover and i see nothing wrong with this video. If the cat really didn't like his position than he would have struggled more and ran away the first chance he got. Not to mention that the preening probably felt nice on his stomach :D

  • poor cat = =

  • Geez, its a short cute video about a cat and bird if you dont like it dont watch it, i thought the video was really cute though :)

  • you do know letting your parrot lick and preen the cats fur can make the cat ill? no matter whether the cat is clean or not the bird can pick up harmful bacteria from the cat which can then lead to disease in the bird.

  • @TheHarryFrom1992 I do know that. Did you know that you can catch MRSA, ECOLI, STAF and other's from dirt on the ground? I find that keeping animals from all sources of illness is not an effective way to keep them healthy, rather it is more important to keep their immune systems up by giving them much purpose and happiness.

  • That's ridiculous. Why would you force your cat to lie there. I really think this is rude. I doubt you would want someone to do something like that to you. Not funny.

  • I give my treatment of animals equal consideration but I still treat them like animals. I would never want to be cut up and boiled for someone else's consumption but I still love hamburgers and chicken for dinner.

  • beautiful cat and bird!!! animals show us how it's done...

check out cat and crow are friends video =^..^=

  • This reminds me of a few Christmases ago... my uncle brought over his doberman and our rabbit was out of his cage. The doberman and the rabbit ended up cuddled up together on the couch watching the football game. Their eyes were drooping- they were falling asleep! XD

  • Studley's like "What... the heck... are they doing to me?"

  • Our cats have the same kind of spot on their chins. haha

  • not sure but I think there was a bird that followed me and my cat from my old place to the new one. He was in the garage (my cat) and this bird flew in landing inches from him, and they almost touched noses. strange.

  • not sure how I got here, but again that's how I end up viewing 95% of youtube's videos. But it's a cool vid nontheless!

I once had a rabbit that used to try to shag my cat, instead of expected outcome of the cat trying to kill and eat the rabbit. Instead the cat would try to claw away with the vibrating rabbit firmly attached to its behind.

  • Do you ride the short bus?

  • HANDY FACT one scratch from a cat will kill a bird WITH OUT A DOUBT cat saliva is DEADLY to birds it contains bacteria which is toxic to birds ANOTHER FACT cats lick their paws and claws if your cat scratches your bird even if it is only in play even just a swipe your bird can be dead in MINUTES its just NOT WORTH THE RISK to have your cats around your birds even if you think that your cat can be trusted

  • I thought that cat would just swipe at the bird.

    The cat is so sweet!

  • aww, the bird is preening Studley's fur!!! sor adorable!

  • I have to agree with some other statements here. I have been owened by parrots for over twenty years of my life now. I currently have eight from a green winged macaw down to a teil. I have had my one cat 17 yrs but never ever would i put any of my smallers fids in that dangerous position. My cat has been around birds all her life but i would never trust her that i would allow such a thing. I am sorry but that is totally irresponsible.

  • So do they buy you food and clean up after you when you shit yourself? I think that it is irresponsible to make your animals "own " you when you are the one capable of rational thought and action and they are just birds!

  • Sure that's because you own every single animal out there smart ass, well here's news for you not all cats are retarded, so no need to go to far to figure out where yours got it from.

  • Are you suggesting that my cat is Albanian?

  • any cat can kill a bird no matter how long they known eachother, my grandma had 1 cat and 10 birds for over 14 years, on day the cat snapped kill her favorite bird and run away, we never saw him again.

  • No kidding, wow! So what you are saying is that animals are wild and they don't think rationally like humans. I had no idea seeing as I am the one who lives with them, gets bit my them, feeds them and cleans up after them. Thanks.

  • I don't think many cats would tolerate that!

  • not realy an answear onto the question u made, isnt it? well, what about u let them both alone into one room for an hour, u´ll clearly find an answear.

  • Hears a question, why are you still talking?

  • *cat stares at camera*

    Cat:HAI U TUBE :D

  • thats so cute!

  • Your cats adorable :) I wish mine was that fluffy :P

  • yeah, he sheds a lot though, thank you.

  • You have cute animals! That is so adorable!!

  • Thank you!

  • Cats have moods...all it takes is one quick swipe out of irritation or a quick bite and your bird is dead. All cats have it in them to kill small animals, it's in their nature. Really, if you're bored you should entertain yourselves in a way that doesn't place innocent animals in potential danger...I'm sorry but it is just irresponsible...it's not cute. It may happen tomorrow, next month or next year, but a small bird and a cat don't mix. If you love your bird, don't put him/her in danger.

  • our cat is retarded and doesn't have moods, but you probably know more than me about my cat than I do so can you continue telling me what a horrible person I am to make yourself feel better about your shitty life?

  • Does the parrot fart at 38 secs???? :S

  • our other parrot is sitting on my shoulder off camera, he makes the farting noise.

  • Pretty funny-that's one demoralised cat! I've got a female green-cheek named Peeve, have had her for about 15 years. Far less noisy and destructive than larger conures. Peeve's a cuddler, sits on the back of my neck under my hair while I'm on my computer (or on my shoulder with her head tucked behind my ear). She says a few words: her name, hey!, "preee bird"(can't quite say pretty bird!) and "what's up" for anything she wants to eat or drink, and once in a blue moon she'll say "weeeeasel".

  • are you 12?

  • No, im four, what are you getting at?

  • that is really mean to say yuo know...

  • hahah this is so cute. I have a parrotlet and a cat and hope to be able to capture something like this on video one day.

  • Cats naturally have a bacterium in their saliva that is deadly to birds. I would not have your bird near the cat.

  • you may not believe this but after two years, 15,000 views and 40 comments you are the first person to point that out, GOOD JOB, your mother must be proud of you!

  • Kitty's at the hair salon!

  • NO! Studley does NOT like it.. obviously, his mopey expression tells all :D

  • That looks like a form of torture~

  • the cat actually has a look on his face of, I guess I have to put up with this if I want a home and food in my tummy. Shame. They do sell brushes for fir and flea comes. If you can afford a parrot why not these items to groom the cat.

  • Because then I would be the one doing the grooming. Even the parrot has to earn his keep.

  • lol really mean birdie piking on a kitty XD jk

  • Not Jimmy Durante. "What a revoltin' development dis is!" was William Bendix as Chester A. Riley in "The Life of Riley" both on TV and on radio. He's they guy that would open his closet and everything would fall out on him.

  • LOL the cat gives a look like o.O

" NO WAY!!! I cannot baleve you just put that bird on me!!! you do know i am a cat right?"

  • The cat doesn't know he is a cat because he is a cat not a person.

  • The cat looks like she's smiling...lol...

  • This is not a cute video...it's a dangerous thing to do...just asking to get the poor parrot killed. Just think, if the cat has even been gromming himself and any of the saliva is left, dead bird....and that's if the cat doesn't just snap out and bite or claw him. I hope the parrot owners learn about these things...this is awful.

  • Well I guess it is a good thing that the cat is a lazy slob and doesn't clean himself then hu?

    Are you 13?

  • Well, I didn't know about cat saliva being deadly to birds, but I did enjoy this video. The LOOK that cat gives the camera is priceless....I can just hear him, in a Jimmy Durante voice, saying, "What a revoltin' development dis is!"

  • Aww nice conure but are you aware that if the cat took a swipe at the bird and pierced his skin, or if he playfully nipped or even gently bite him, the parrot would DIE almost immediately?!! I am not trying to be mean. I just want you to be aware of the DANGER. The parrot is still alive, right? It's been over a year since you put this video out in June of 2006. I hope the animals are safe, esp. the parrot.....

  • adorable cat

  • O yes....lazy cats like mine can get along with one bird.

Great cat and a brutal bird.

    Grtz.

    Agnes/polderwijffie from the Netherlands

  • the cat looks depressed, most likely from a sudden drop in dignity.. lmao

  • I love how the poor kitty looks at the camera like he's thinking "this is so humiliating". My cat is afraid of anything that's bigger than his head.

  • People like you shouldn't be allowed to have parrots -- or cats.

  • ....the poor cat.......

  • The cat would've gone nuts if it was really bothered by it, it's not being "held down" as such. As others have mentioned though - cat saliva/claws are highly toxic to birds so one lick would be enough to kill it.

  • Your cat looks just like mine very cute

  • Thank you.

  • I feel bad for both of them. The bird because you are putting him in a dangerous situation, and the cat because you have to pin him down and put a bird on his tummy so you can get a few minutes entertainment.

Did you know that cats claws and their saliva carries a toxin that can be deadly to birds?

  • ....crazy!

  • you domb ass i hope yer bird dies

  • What's a "domb ass"?

  • Really cool green cheek conure you have there hehe, reminds me of mine that died in march 2003 :( except mine got along with my dog.

  • HAH. Conures rock. I've got a yellow sided conure, and let me tell you, she acts like she owns the house, and our beagle is stark terrified of her. Generally, conures have some serious attitude... ^^

  • i think that is dangerous and evil. that is really mean.you should be ashamed

  • Are you joking or are you just a crazy bird person or stupid?

  • Yes, i am a bird person, and think of how that cat feels? maybe its not evil for the bird, but think of the cat!!!

  • Oh, so anyone concerned for the life of the parrot is a "crazy bird person." Thanks for clearing that up.

  • Well, I'm pretty sure cycleben knows his own cat better than you, and he probably knew the Studley wouldn't be immediately agressive. Not all cats are mad, hunger-driven death machines. In fact, most are actually pretty lazy.

  • Well yes, all cats arent mad, and death machines. But no matter how trained the cat, it still has the wild part in him. It could have wound up ugly! And i feel bad for the cat.

  • haha that is funny cayana!!! Yup My bird runs the house too! I posted a video response to what My bird does to my cat!

  • henpecked cats? omg! hahaha

  • OWNED

  • yep my birds run the cats in this house..preeety funny!

  • Poor cat. Pwned by a bird and then the video published on the net..
