and 'forever, michael', as is all of his solo work from motown, is severely underrated. i guess that motown just reissued a lot of his work in this era after 25 june, so hopefully people will hear the mastery, and the variety which he brought to the label.
it's nice to know i'm not alone on the vinyl tip with mike's works...

this is one of my top 5 favourite MJ songs... there are certain things i love about this version, and certain things i love more about the album version. i love that the fade-out lasts a bit longer on the 45 edit, but on the 45 edit some horns get edited out, and the vocals are all meshed together and the bass is more prominent than the album version...
either way, both the 45 and the album remain on my turntable for hours, on repeat. thanks for playing this!
