I think you mean you have upgraded from the D200 and D70, its not the camera , its the lens and i am afraid Leica are the top lenses to get.

FZ38 is the European model, where you can only record 30 mins of footage at once, FZ35 rest of the world where there are no recording restrictions.

@jeesh123 I think it's some unnessecary restrictions that would consider the camera a video camera in the EU if it could record unlimited time. The Panasonic TZ7 can only record up to 15 minutes in EU.

I like everything except the manual focus

I'd like it if nobody should be allowed to use the term 'manual focus' unless a wheel or ring is included - to do it like an SLR or pro camcorders (i.e. fast - so you can focus pull)

When a feature is so hard to get at it makes it practically almost useless - so should be called 'Class B - Manual Focus'

I also have a D200 but after lugging it around for a few years decided on getting something a little more compact which was the FZ38. After a little tweaking I have been taking shots on par with the Nikon if the ISO is below 400. Video's not too bad either but you'll need an ND filter.

Ive found it hard to adjust to the size of the FZ38, as i am so used to a bigger camera and a huge 17-55mm lens, but i agree the quality is rather good, the video i and audio exeeed my expectations, but you do seem to get some banding in low light. Not bad all rounder.

Neutral Density filter...it enables you to increase shutter speed/ aperture which with my FZ38 helps to alleviate the banding while recording video.
