First you need a real air filter. That can is straving the motor for air. Second, get a bigger motor. The one that was on there will work great even if it does burn oil. It will have 3x more power. You don't have to build everything from the ground up, just modify. Check out my vids.
@ikesquirrel I tried getting the old motor to run but had no luck so i took it off. second, i dont want to get a real air filter because those cost money.
oh, and i love the straight pipe idea. idk what kinda money you got, but if i hd it, id buy a whole new racing engine. theirs a lot of cool sites for engines. the easiest being briggs and stratton but theirs lots of different ones.
Yah, i should get a better motor. maybe not a racing motor but some kind of an upgrade. or find out if upgrades are compatible with vertical shaft engines. i always find horizantal shaft upgrades, for like shifter karts with built 5hps.
@ghostrider10j thanks. I just got this thing running and its really slow. it has a lot of torgque though. i just cant put the go pedal all the way down or the engine stops. this thing is loud too. Because of the small engine the engine fouls every five minutes. it gets really hot i have to clean the spark plug. Keep watching my channel and i might put a vid of it running or my other tractor, or my homemade motor scooter
@ghostrider10j PS i really sound young in the video. i'm probly not as young as you think. I like doing stuff like this. most of the kids i know would never have the brain power to do this. they all are into video games. me too, but no AS much.
Ya. watchin this vid, I don't think my mowers tranny/diff has a fan on it at all, lol! It's just a simple gear box with the rear shaft going straight through it. I'll use it anyway. worst that can happen is i blow it up XD! Then I can think about finding a bigger engine with a horizontal shaft and rear end with sprocket on it, lol!
