yeah and the imprezza has what a 5 spd 6 spd? the dart only has 3 forward gears.. give the dart 5 or 6 forward gears and it wouldnt of even been a close race
@ectodolphanicus well an auto is always faster then a standard shift, you shift a auto, it goes right into the next gear, the manual needs the clutch, you loose precious time shifting, thats why the less gears in your tranny makes it faster, like a 2 speed power glide is faster then the same car w/ a 3 or 4. put a beefed up auto in the subaru it would run faster, but that dart still would have beaten it, that dart was mean as hell.
@ectodolphanicus also the dart had way more power and torque, even if they had the same horsepower, the dart still would have beaten it cause of the torque difference, between a 4 cyl to a v8 you loose about 200 ft ibs, thats a big difference when it comes to racing.whats funny is too is that the subaru prolly had more money tied up in it, american muscle makes more power for less money.grab a honda and a muscle car put about 5k in each and you will see that the muscle car is way faster.
that subaru if not modded puts out 300 horses... that dart has what 500 ish? now compare weights, add the fact the subaru has 4X4 and it makes it a farily similar weight category...
I love American muscle and I love all wheel drive. Can some 1 say hybrid please? I really wonder if it'd be possible to make a Dodge Dart all wheel drive. Think about it, even though that Subaru was out powered it did pretty damn well because of its all wheel drive. Just imagine if the Dodge had that as well.
I own a fast boosted four banger and i do like it very much but i like this video because it shows just what a V8 with mods can do.I see videos of these Honda,s and other that are so light that a good breeze would blow them of the track beating stock or lightly modded V8s and then all we hear is how ass kicking the 4 cyl. is ,if a V8 had the same mods and turbo i have on my Shadow i know it would be a monster.I am not calling my 4cly. shit but I worked around cars long enough to know the truth.
@shadlad91 dont really need a turbo on a v8 just put about 5grand in the motor and you got yourself about 700+ hp you would need double that for a 4 cyl, thats why i like muscle, the muscle cars also last a lot longer too if you build it right.

si lo maneja un marica como tu seguro que queda en ridiculo el pobre dart, pero; debo decir que entrar en una curva a 120KPH y acelerando no es nada facil con un dart, pero se puede (lo hice) lo unico que se necesita es un poco de BOLAS!!
