In last 2 decades,the population has increased still the number of poor have decreased in india,no denying that theres a long way to go but still its a big achievement.
And as an indian, i do want pak to develop for a better south asian image, but that cant happen if it follows iran model it has to follow malaysia model.

In the US, Indians are called Apus and the British call Pakistanis Pakis. Do you think all orientals should be called "chinks" or do you respect that Chinese and Japanese are different peoples? Yes Japan ruled China for a while and Muslims (Pakistanis) ruled all of South Asia for a while but they are still different nations. Why can't people just respect each other and live in peace. @milanric No Pakistan doesnt consider itself to be the representative of the Muslim world nor has it ever claimed to be that. However it is a nuclear power and hosts the second biggest congregation of Muslims in the world (after Haj).

@ikhanlaw good if you think so since i follow pakistan media and all of them consider them to be representatives of ISLAM and muslims. Also, indonesia has more muslims than pakistan so its not the 2nd biggest congregation of muslims in the world. it might be 3rd and that too not for long as in few years count of muslims in india will be more than pakistan. @milanric hmmmm nope. By congregation i dont mean the population of Pakistan. I meant the Ijtama which takes place is Pakistan once a year. Just like Muslims gather for pilgrimage at Mecca they come from all around the world to Pakistan to discuss, analyse and gain knowledge about Islam.Basically people having their doubts or questions answered by world renowned Islamic scholars. Dont take the media so seriously. Im sure your old enough to read between the lines as far as the news goes.
