haha, shadows? it's extremely easy to do shadows that don't tax the hardware. but it's even easier to make them so that they slow computers down to a crawl. blizzard: the company of cheap shitty shortcuts. there isn't even wind yet. wtf? make the effing trees move in the wind ffs!

dam..my computer must suck. I thought it was good, has I had full resolution and effects on high, and got about average of 40 fps. Once 3.0.2 came out and I put on the lightest bit of shadow effect on, I went straight down to about about 5 fps..it was horrible.

It's because it puts double the rendering work on your GPU. So really only a 7800 GT OC from BFG tech on up is really going to be able to do the work. Now if you ran SLi between them you'd be fine. If your on a mac, you have to wait until Steve says you can render them. If your on a normal OEM windows PC go ahead and pick up a new card.

It means your graphics card can't take job of rendering dynamic shadows AND models at the same time. So upgrade it if you want to use these.

actualy the shadow machenic came with 3.02 you just have to turn it on in the settings

go to Video then Effects and you'll see a bar that controls the shadow effect

The new prof, inscription allows you to make scrolls and glyphs, "glyphs" are something you put in the spellbook they have minor and major glyphs, major ones give ex. "your frost trap to extra yards" and minor glyphs give smaller addons to spells like water walking buff needs no reagents, and that's what the new profession is

Ya the shadow quality is excellent! But the bad thing is, it take's up to 1 GB of RAM Memory.

So be sure to get all the good component's for your computer's!
