I am normally a real skeptic. I Freakin HATED the Death Note Movies. and Dragonball SUCKED but I have so much hope for this series - I mean after all, there is some historical basis for it It would hurt my heart is It was a bad movie... @ana1ism I don't think he's unattractive or anything and I'd rather have someone play the part well than have a pretty face who can't pull it off. I watched him in Den-O and saw the range of characters he can portray, and I think he can pull off both the lighthearted/goofy side of Kenshin and the serious side. As a result, I'm looking forward to his portrayal in the live action. I think he'll do a great job personally.

Here's the thing that people don't understand is that Dragonball Evolution may have been produced by hollywood, but it was directed by a chinese guy with an asian style. So, Evolution is what you would have gotten if it was done in Japan. Yeah I'm not going to say our adaptations are perfect and some of them are actually pretty terrible, but we also filmed the Godfather, Fight Club, and Schindler's List...

It looks so totally FUBARed that it's not even funny. He fights a guy who controls bees! What it is, is not what country its made by, but the director, writer, and actors they put in it. The guy they picked for Goku was aweful, but most people I've heard wanted Jackie Chan and he would have been just as bad...

I have no words to express my joy right now. Rurouni Kenshin, my favorite show, returns after so long. Everything looks perfect. I am so glad that this exists. Now, the Rurouni Kenshin franchise would end on a horrible note like it did with OVA Reflections (I despise that OVA with every fiber of my being). But now, we have this. Hopefully, this will spark interest and the anime will finally animate the Jinchu!

P.S. REALLY HOPE THEY GET THE CAST FROM THE ANIME TO DUB THIS!

Same goes for Shishio, you need something to lead up to the mad fireman in bandages and a the scar is the hook to get you to want to know how he got it. It's marketing strategy in the entertainment business. though I have low expectations of this film, hope it proves me wrong.
