@floridamusiccompany It seems that the BTX tab of the beat station page has claimed that there are more BTX coming soon for about a year now. The is very disappointing. I own easily 90% of the Toontrack library and I see a frequent stream of expansions for all there other products so I spent the money on Beatstation planning on some great additional expansions to come out with it. Whats the deal?
I don't know about protools, but in logic I load it as a virtual software instrument on a track just like i would EZD. Then drag some midi (or play some midi in a record armed software track) and it triggers even my home made samples through the virtual instrument. It's actually quite handy.
Am I the only person who thinks that this GUI looks like a nightmare from 2004?
I like Toontrack but what is the point of deliberate ugliness? Have you looked at the skins for this? Am I missing something? Is painful to look at some kind of new cool?
I have superior drummer 2.0 and its pretty much my go to live sounds, I brought this because the price is very reasonable and it has some lofi stuff and digital stuff I didnt have with SD2, Beatstation rocks, especially for the price, I guess the olny thing I thought was missing (in the stand alone anyway) was the ability to program your own groove, I thought that would have be great especially with the sample recorder. Although there are a lot of midi files that come with it,
That was the best display of beatstation I've seen yet. Thanks alot. Now that I know u can lay it out like drum pads I'm going to get it. That alien look just doesn't get It for me. Lol
@TheUndergroundGuitar did you try going to Device then plug-in information then VST paths and then set the path to your plugin?I think it goes to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Steinberg\VST2 depending on what Windows version you have.
But in all the videos I've watched on this product, they're always using the pre-loaded rhythm files. Can you make your own custom rhythm patterns with this?
Hey Chris.. being a Superior Drummer 2.0 (w/several expansion packs) owner I know that Toontrack makes great products.. this product may not fit my needs but it's pretty cool all the same.. haven't seen your videos in a while.. good to have you back.
it appears like it has a lot of loops is it also good with recording

@MichaelBlue72
You can import midi files directly into beatstation or if used as a plugin you can make the pattern in your daw to drive beatstation.
