All their songs make me wanna go sailing or cruise control in the car with the wind blowin,,,,they blow my mind ! Thanks for whoever brought them to the new age even if we have to listen by youtube...the sounds bring us back to good.
How can you listen to this song and not feel happy and care-free? It brings a smile to your face and reminds you of everything that is right and good in the world...
my dad influenced me into these kind of music. i never regret it. our house before was about an hour away from the city and my dad plays this song in the car every time we go to the city. love this song
Just hope there's a "crossing over" and something beyond to say "I'm sorry" to one who loved this, and I loved him. My heart aches to catch all the suns we missed with him.
Some people have a special taste in music depending on what year they were born. But as for me born in early 60' smooth jazz is pleasant, relaxing kind of music. Thanks for posting this. Spyro Gyra is one of a Kind!
The first jazz album I ever owned. My love for jazz has grown since then leading my to buy more traditional jazz albums such as Kind of Blue and A Love Supreme and although I have a dislike of most smooth jazz, this will always be one of my favorite albums.
Spyro Gyra was the first Jazz concert I experienced. Omaha Nebraska... Just Fantastic! The Theatre was dark and a sax begins wailing and a single Spot light from way up high hits a Bright Yellow suited Sax player..... Then the Stage explodes with light and sound... Awesome Sweet! Love this sexy sound. Thanks for posting. have you seen SG live? Tell me about it!
now the best two songs from spyro gyro i can not find here on you tube is bittersweet and awakening these two tunes are the best to play for love making.
@JoeyBieg abs r just tummy muscles that don't do much anything outside of attract girls. and abs are easy to have. again, u fail toast forever. unless u use jelly? hmm? redeem yourself mortal!! lol
@masterj345 Your post makes me think you are a negative person..... the picture of the beach looks like one of mine and reminds me of running my dog in the waves. Have a nice day!
@blummedia well it was 3 months ago when the spill was still going on, hopefully now that its over everything will be fixed and i can be happy again...
@blummedia well its rather dependent on how quickly the ecological damage is fixed and the terrible environmental costs will probably be going on for years... if you could make the oil dissapear it would do wonders for my happiness ;)
I use to hate this, my moms bf works with the band the sound board guy lol and i would protest the lack of singing to my mom, now I'm really digging it.
1980 . . . between hearing Spyro Gyra and David Sanborn on the radio that year, my life time love affair for contemporary jazz was sealed. Morning Dance brings back lots of sweet memories. :-)
I remember being a young man in my late teen years and when i took an interest in jazz I soon heard about spyro gyra from an old gf of nine. Once I heard them that was it. In my opinion they are the best and nobody elses holds a candle to them. Of course I am open to someone new if anyone can turn me on to them please be my guest. Thanks :)
