Spyro Gyra was the first Jazz concert I experienced. Omaha Nebraska... Just Fantastic!  The Theatre was dark and a sax begins wailing and a single Spot light from way up high hits a Bright Yellow suited Sax player..... Then the Stage explodes with light and sound... Awesome Sweet! I remember being a young man in my late teen years and when i took an interest in jazz I soon heard about spyro gyra from an old gf of nine. Once I heard them that was it.
