What I think a lot of people remember is what happened in Katrina.
No home insurance policy (regardless of whether it was basic or Comprehensive/Special) covered flood or earthquake damage in that region.
A lot of people were filing claims that the damage was the result of wind damage (which is covered) or riot/civil commotion (which as you saw occurred afterwords).
However, they were denied because the insurers claimed it was due to a storm surge (not covered) or flooding (not covered).
However, the government did setup the NFIP (National Flood Insurance Plan) back in the late 70s which did cover flood damage (you paid a premium every month) but I don't think a lot of people bought it and it could even be that a lot of people didn't even know about it.
When hurricane Katrina destroyed New Orleans the news was such a shock because Americans are always so accustomed to seeing terrible things happen in other country's and not so much over here. I am praying for your people and your land.
If i was a girl, i would get pregnant as many times as possible, then have abortions after the third month of being pregnant so i would deliver a potato sized 1/3 developed dead fetus, then i would take the fetus, put it in a jar of preservative liquid and put it on a shelf in a secret room in my house, and i would do it until i had so many that the rooms walls were nothing but potato sized aborted fetuses, then i would have a kid and when they're bad i would make them sit in the fetus room.

However, the government did setup the NFIP (National Flood Insurance Plan) back in the late 70s which did cover flood damage (you paid a premium every month) but I don't think a lot of people bought it and it could even be that a lot of people didn't even know about it.
