  • damnit, i actually downloaded the game but it request me the cd D:, it looks funny

  • does this game run in vista without dosbox?

  • @amyrulez64 There is an Windows 95 version which might work. I only own the DOS version, so I have to run it in DOSBox, but it's possible that the Win95 version would work in Vista if you set it to run in Windows 95 compatibility mode and "Run as administrator" (almost all old games require that since they usually store all user data in the install folder instead of the user profile), unless the game use some DirectDraw routines that does not work in modern DirectX versions, like Shogo does.

  • terrain was even reacting to assault! Nukes left a giant hole in the ground after an enormous shockwave! Damn was I impressed!

  • love this game

  • Is it the one where the shuttles are evacuating colonists? I think there's a bug in the win-version, the shuttles never leave. If you got the same problem I recommend killing all the enemies so you don't get a bad conscience and then cheat your way past the level. Remember the code is: IMOUTTAHERE

  • Oh crap I forgot the 15 + names of the ai except for three.

  • hi, i need help! i have an origina cd YES! but when i try to enter the mission it sais that i need to insert a cd! can u plz help me? i run everything in compatibility mode for 95...

  • i'm sorry, I only own the older DOS version, which you can't run in modern Windows using any compatibility mode at all without using DosBox. I haven't encountered that problem in DosBox.

  • can u help me in using dosbox then? i have it but i dont have a single idea of how to use it

  • yeah, sorry, it was a bit inappropriate to describe this as a clone. It's certainly an really underrated game. And you're right about the soundtrack (though I must say that most games in this genre - as well as most activision and interplay games - in the middle to late 90's had great soundtracks).

  • cool, ss!

  • I remember playing the Demo of this game back in the good old days. Where can one get the full version of this game?

  • developing team bioware got in some legal issues with publisher interplay, shattered steel 2 got terminated

  • one of the most underrated games
