@mortoVivo Thanks! I have a earlier prototype version that used the KP3 ( of course, it must be powered ) - stay tuned for the new Mantaray 2 in 2012 with more variable configuration options
@VJFranzK i'm in the process of acquiring an ipad, your frame is a marvelloous work that i will surely own ;) i like experimenting with sounds, and this platform is awesome to bring the experimentation on the stage!!!
BTW, it wasn't really clear to me how it was all setup. Like how does the ipad communicate with the koascillator? Is the ipad connected to another computer? It was all kinda fast. Is there another website where setup is explaienmd?
@KeatsHandwriting At this stage, it's only by audio cables that they connect ( there is no midi etc on kaossilator mini ) though I definitely plan to develop more complicated connections later. The tap tempo on the kaosilator allows me to play it's arpegiator along with the beat of the ipad. The audio effects on the kaoss mini also add a nice extra layer of control to the iPad sound output. (though didn't use in this particular vid). It's all about holding the iPad as an instrument, you see
@VJFranzK Oh I see.... so you are restricted to instruments on the iPad. They sound pretty cool though with the Koas. Thanks for letting me know. Keep up the good work, dude :)
@KeatsHandwriting Well, you also could use an app like Touch OSC, etc. to wirelessly control software on your laptop? (Sure to show up in a future demo) The whole point is to take the iPad, which has much sonic potential through software of all kinds, and put it into a position more suited to musical performance than simply holding it in one hand, and tapping with the other.
@DJDJSMusic Yes, you understand. People can more understand what Im doing while playing this. It also looks great when playing with guitarists etc - we synth players can get our share of the glory! Ha ha. See other vids for examples...
Yes, a Tenori one is planned, also for NIntendo DS10
PLEASE BUILD A BASS CANNON!

I LOVE this idea! If you were to make a larger version to house a kaossilator pro and a KP3 I would buy one in a heartbeat!

This is a cool idea. I hate the image of a performer standing behind a table, "hiding" behind a bank of laptops, mixers etc.
With battery powered kaossilator, iPads(even Tenori-On's) you could stand up and perform virtually anywhere!.

@smilepurr Thanks Enid! ;-) An evolution it certainly is.
We've got to play some music again soon. You can try it out yourself!
(I will be interested to see that)
There are so many sonic possibilities in this one device, by running different software apps on it, I'm having a great time
