  • Glenn Cornick, why didn't you played on Thick As A Brick and Aqualung? :((

  • Fabulous sentiment with hard rock heart and soul.

    You go Tull!

  • Damn! Vastlyy underated! One of the Hottest Acts ever in Rock & Roll!

  • wow!

  • makes me recall some of the happiest days of my life

  • Jethro Tull greatest band in the world. What other band sounds like them? No one

  • one of their best songs!

  • Happy Easter

  • WTH is Anderson wearing?

  • can somebody tell me how many musicians were in this band???

  • @bladimir547 Ian on flute/ acoustic guitar/ harmonica/ vocal. Martin Barre guitars, Glen Cornick bass and Clive Bunker drums.

  • @hockeycoachbill well thanks man.. but i'm talking about all the mussiciasn who played in this band along it's history

  • @bladimir547 Twenty-four.

  • this is the pinnacle of Jethro Tull

  • Yeah, why compare greats. Zep's music was heavier so Bonzo's feel was heavier. He did what the music called for. Same with Bunker...the feel was a bit jazzy, so he played what was appropriate. Either way, ALL these guys were groundbreaking pioneers, who in my opinion, developed the art of guitar rock, and perfected it. Everything that came later was either emulating or crap. As far as Page goes...few topped him in vision, feel, soul, diversity of style, and sound and recording techniques

  • Nice design, all full of expression ... Excellent

  • Nice design, all full of expression ... Excellent

  • glenn and john were jammin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I agree, Tull was terrific, Great tune. I've seen them in concert several times. Better drummer(s) and guitarist than Zeppelin? C'mon. The band was quite something but why do they have to be "better than" ? Let's see, John Bonham , Jimmy Page . I don't know, I cannot agree with that.

  • Yes, a great Tull tune. Glenn is a SICK bass player. Tho I think Barrie[more] has the edge technically over Clive. Barrie and Glenn played on one recorded Tull tune, Aeroplane, but it would have been interesting to hear how the two of them would have played Thick as a Brick, etc. They might have got in each other's way, actually. Jeffrey was a simpler straightforward bass player, and gave Barrie room.

  • They were the opening band for Led Zep at the San Diego Sports Arena, and so wowed the audience that the headliners got booed off the stage. As a live act Tull ran circles around Zep - better showmanship, better (IMO) guitarist, and of course, a much better drummer. Uh, errr...drummers, I mean, if you count Barlow and Craney.

  • Yeah, best rhythm section Ian ever had, shame he couldn't/didn't keep them. And I want a drummer named Clive just so I can say I've got one.

  • Just on thing and one thing only: AWESOME!!!!

  • 1. Zeppelin

    2. Purple

    3. Jethro

  • @PurpleAndZeppelin Agree !! ...well said XX

  • @aussieangie thanks, it's ok. This list it's ok, no others.

  • @PurpleAndZeppelin

    1- Floyd

    2- Tull

    3- Zeppelin

4- Cream, Doors, Sabbath, Purple, Creedance, Free, Skynard

  • @bcdalessio Floyd number 1?? Doors, ccr or Free among elite??

  • HEAVY METAL at its birth . . .ahhhh with twist ....

  • Forty plus years and this guy is still jammin, what a rarity, he is a legend

  • Just saw them yesterday. Opened with this song, and it was epic.

  • freakin awesome!

  • Excelente Video.

    Gracias por la subida.

  • What a drummer.

  • Yes, i like it!!

  • Glenn Cornick has to be the coolest bass player in history

  • @trassca I can tell you he really IS. I met him and had dinner in San Pedro, CA where he lived....he signed everything, was gracious, loved talking about the Tull days, and told him he was my first concert...biggest mistake Ian ever made letting Glenn go....! Funny guy!!!

  • @trassca , I wholeheartedly agree with your statement. He certainly gives it his all. Reminds me of Vincent Crane from Crazy World of Arthur Brown and Atomic Rooster, both play with intense virtuosity.

  • I count 14, OK, don't count Ian, and you get 13. I see Clive kneeling down in the bottom left of the picture. I can't tell who every one else is. Is Abrahams and Glen in the picture?

  • martin barre was in jethro tull the whole time

  • no he wasnt

  • Clive baby!!!!!

  • nice song!

  • Tull kicks ass.

  • GREAT!!!

  • Behold. Jethro Tull in their prime. This is when they were at their peak.

  • 60s;70s;80s;90s;and now...Ian... awesome...

  • i couldn't have said it any better.

  • One of my favorite Tull songs! Glenn and Clive are the best rhythm section Tull ever had!

  • Amen to that, brother, they're both virtuosos!

  • Glad you agree my friend :)

  • @atbglenn Right you are, mate!

  • @dougalmac54 Thanks my friend!

  • @atbglenn I think That Barrie and Jhon Glascock are better

  • @Dancat93 Maybe technically, but they dont play with nearly as much heart and soul like Glenn and Clive..Just my opinion.

  • @atbglenn agreed! That lineup with Glenn, Clive, & Martin F&%#$* ROCKED! my first concert (Stand Up Tour)

  • Wow- incredible showmanship
