  • i dont get it.....its gymnastics.....

  • thats not bad.. If they dont want to do that, they can go home... Its those girls own decision to do that.

  • I did 28 1/2 hrs of training a week in Russia and it was lots worse than that. Lots, believe me.

  • we were children......the coaches were adults....

  • well of course they have to trian like that, how do you think it's possible to do somthing like that without any training?!

  • have you even seen the chinese children with their training?!?!

  • im in gymnastics and i do that everytime i come there but yyou do get real bad blisters on your hands

  • im in gymnastics and i do that everytime i come there

  • This is just a normal day for me

  • Motionlesssndtrk i understand that it s just a normal day for me too

  • What is this musical piece?

  • @jj7sy it' yann Tiersen soundtrack from Amelie, but don't remember the title

  • i dont think its horrible at all. if we hated it and we didnt want to do it, obviously we'd quit

  • i think it is cruel when you see the teachers physically or emotionally inflicting pain on the gymnasts, this is them practicing their passion and working towards a dream. I believe this is different

  • @broadwaynballet this isnt rlly different... its more diffucult, but u have to love it enough to deal with the pain

  • @broadwaynballet You've never stepped inside a gym, have you?

  • this isn't bad. it's normal. it's just when the coaches get mad and have real high expectations and what not

  • this is not horrible, its just average day training to be the best.

  • ok im a rec gymnast but i know a few elite gymnasts and they love it im too weak to be an elite lol xx

but if they dont want to do it they leave but people r saying its not a life its horrible then unless u do it u cant judge im sure any elite gymnast will agree with me xx

  • i'm a synchronized swimmer (i'm in the junior national team) and in my opinion synchronized swimming is as hard as gymnastics

  • @ce2square I don't know its.....its really hard to say honestly unless one has trully experienced both. If you have however you have a better perspective then :)

  • that`s not life

  • Most of this stuff doesn't hurt at all.

  • yep this is normal

  • i do gymnastics and it looks normal its not as bad as people want it to sound some countries are diffrent but in the us its not that bad

  • I did gymnastics for 8 years. This doesnt look bad to me. Just looks like a normal day at the gym. :)

  • thats soo true!!! when i was younger almost all of my friends did gymnastics and now only one other person does it.

  • what's so horrible about this? this how hard gymnast train! well i know that is how hard i train (being a gymnast).

  • WAT DID SHE SPRAY INTO HER MOUTH?

  • @rhodanwaeze water

  • @rhodanwaeze water.....

  • PS i am a gymnast, i ended up having foot surgery and will probably never run again.....

  • @qwertlivvy oh gosh!!!!! that stinks!!! im sorry.

  • @qwertlivvy

    sorry to hear that

  • our gym definately shows how hard gym is. in level 4 there was 24 of us. now were in level 8 and there is 4 of us left.

  • @lilyliukin did they quit because they were sick of it,or because they had accidents or any other injuries? I do a lot of sports (also a little gymnastics) and unfortuneately I have to pause because I overdid it and have too many painful injuries :-/

  • @lilyliukin

I know what you mean. I'm the only one left from "class of '02" in my gym.

  • hey this was really good! watch my gymnastics videos!

  • hey this was really good! watch my gymnastics videos!

  • i don't know how often i read this question but what' s the name of the music????

  • @chocolatefan1711

The music is from Yann tiersen - comtine D'un Autre Eté,

You also can find it if you look for amelie, its the songtrack of the movie.

  • @chocolatefan1711

comptine d'un autre ete - amelie

  • starlight102327 how do you think they got to this level they have been doing this sort of training from the age of four or five years old

  • y'think this is hard on them? these people are teenagers (i think) they can handle themselves. take a look at the little 6-year-old chinese kids training during gymnastics, now THAT'S painful.

  • OMG i no it and most of the chinese girls that went to the olympics were under age

  • yah that not as bad as what we do we have two days a week that we have a four hour practice dedicated to strenght it sux

  • In Aus gymnastics is fun even when you are in level 6

  • AOUCHHHH!! IT¨VERY VERY HARD!!!!

  • you make gymnastics sound terrible. like its a chore.

we do gymnastics because we love it and continue to do it no matter how painful it can be at times

  • i'm playin that on the piano..=)

  • whats it called? its well nice :)

  • @bethonwednesday

just look for the soundtrack of the movie "amelie"

  • The HORROR!

Actively applying oneself to the rigors of an intense physical sport by gradiently training for it?!

Get these kids some XBoxes. All this flipping and running around is unnatural.

  • gymnastics is like xbox to these kids they think its fun why would they do it if they hated it?

  • @gymnast0005 In china, they used to break (i'm not sure if they still do... UN human rights and such) their athletes feet at increadably young ages and form them into perfect toe points... they don't function very well as feet... but they look good on bars. Name one child that would enjoy doing that...

  • omg! is that true?

  • yup, my coach coached in china for years. and he said that they used to take their 4 year old gymnasts and do that.

  • omg! thats just sick!

  • Lol, I was thinking the same thing. How is this bad? The more kids that learn the benefits of hard work the better!

  • it's not beauty

  • So, behind closed doors they stretch a lot and practice gymnastics.... WHO KNEW!!!

    LOL

thats a pretty menacing title for this video.

  • beautiful music

  • El esfuerzo, la entrega, la pasion hacen a un verdadero deportista :)

  • omg i heard on the news that like in Japan and China nd all that laik the kids are whipped nd all to perform at their best in gymnastics :0 but only in some gymnast schools but its still shockin

  • Don't bring Japan into this. I'm pretty sure their citizens are mature enough to know not to do that. It's a developed country too!!

  • well get your facts straight before tellin me that they dont whip the kids cuz its on google and all look it UP!!

  • Well I did and I don't see anything. Maybe if you want to prove your point, you give me the link. Jeez you act so rotten.

  • you act so posh and stuck up, this stuff was on the news and everything look a bit closer on google and youll see plenty of stuff i think your just pretending you didnt see anything cause theres plenty and i wouldnt just make somethin up like this

  • oh and btw im 24 on my little sisters youtube account so im hardly a little kid you stupid twat

  • i love gmnastics

  • It doesn't seem that horrible to me at all!!

This is an average day of training for me...???

What is so horrible about this video?

  • i totally agree! i kept waiting for the bad part... lol.

Some people may not be tough enough for gymnastics, you gotta weed out the weak, it's as much for their sake as the gym.

But i do feel kinda bad for the kids in certain countries that aren't choosing to be a gymnast, that is kinda sad, it is by far the toughest/scariest sport when it comes to the training and learning of new skills, especially if you don't have the heart.

  • it's crazy that i can watch this and instead of thinking "wow, how horrible" ...my brain instead sees it and thinks, "hm, that just looks like an average Thursday at the gym. nothing unusual there"

  • i know right

  • @motionlesssndtrk lol!!!

  • i hear that!!!! lol

  • i am 13 and level 5 and i put full effort into gymnastics because its what im good at. I love gymnastics i spoend my free time practicing gymnastics and just making up routines so that i can have an i dea of what i want my routines to be like when i become optional! o and by the way whats the name of this song?

  • I think the song is "Comptine d'un autre été" from Yann Tiersen...

  • It always bothers me when my fellow gymnasts have bad attitudes. They think they can't get a skill because it's too hard. But it's not that, they just aren't willing to put in 100%!

  • I am a 12 year old in level 7, I am going into 7th grade, i tel you, gymnastics is not easy. i love t! you gotta stay strong you gotta belive in yourself, you just cant give up, if you fall, you gotta get down, close your eyes take a deeep breath and shake it all of get back up and do the skill i just got my flip flop on high beaqm today!! it wasnt the end of the world! it was scary, you just need to know what you doing when i did it i was like why did i spend time thinking about a slilly thing!

  • I agree! In this sport you will be discouraged day and night... Just believe in yourself and give it your all.

  • How can people see things like this and not agree that gymnastics is the hardest sport in the world?

  • all of this training is seriously no SHIT for the chinese kids! even the NONelite ones are going through bone breaking training! even beginners are almost killing themselves! but its gymnastics if u want to be the best u have to deal with pain but in america we have it easy....kinda

  • looks like the kids who have it kinda easy have had top spots in the all around two times in a row :)

  • china's lil kids have it worse x_x..

  • russia's kids too Lyna8D but yeah i think the chinese are worst on their kids of all

  • passion.

  • j'aimerais pas souffrir comme il soufre quand il font de la flex

  • i am a gymast.....i used to cheer competivialy....but i decided i loved gym better but gymnastics you have to have time and dedication but its dangerous and you have to focus i practice like 40hours a week just during school time i dont even kno it mite be longer.......

  • i am a Gymnastic, and i know, it is so hard.

at all what they do! you have to be strong. i do, like they do, strength exercises and i hate that :( i have a lot of respect for them ^^

  • music?

  • Yann Tiersen - Comptine D'Un Autre Ete L'Apres Midi

  • thank you so much

  • i was in elite when i was 8..

then i quit to do dancing. then realised how much i loved gymnastics, so quit dance and started back at the age of 12. im 13 now, and im in recreational. the group just below elite lol x

  • gymnastics is a hard sport and u r not suppose to fuck around and coaches wont put up with people who dont push the boundries and hey they choose it.

  • sure gymnastics is hard people but when you reach ur goal it feels good and if u cry everyday thinking about that ur risking ur life go c a counciler because i dont cry everyday and im a level 7

  • i agree with iloverocknroll888: even though people want 10 and under to be in the olymipics right away! thats just stupid they should just work at it, at first! becuase they dont deserve to have a painful life their first 10 or 11 years of life, i do gymnastics and im a level 7 and its painful for me right now!

  • Too many discuss about it You can't imagine how?? simple only hard work....they love it so just leave it,don't be jelous...start to do something.Respect for gymnasts

  • well i am a gymnast and oviously ur not cause if u were u wud no y ppl are talking about hard work!!!!!!and actually if u ask most gymnasts dont even like gymnastics the just do it cause they cudnt imagine der life with out it!!!!!and if anyone is jelous i think its u Tourokoszan so stop tring 2 show off and grow up!!!!think off other ppl

ye sure maybe ur life is fun and easy going but not for others it isnt!!!!!!!!

  • Honey, calm down. How is she trying to show off? A lot of gymnasts actually ENJOY their sport. People like you are the ones that make everyone think that gymnastics is such a dark and unforgiving sport.

It may be merciless, but it is not dark. To get to the very top, you must love it, not just stick around because you "can't imagine your life without it".

  • I never quit the sport even after i got injured. I had to take a few months off, and when I came back, I was terrified of that element.

It wasn't the end though. I love and will always love the sport, and I am so glad that most of the people in the higher levels realize how much dedication and time you must put into gymnastics.

  • yeah.i broke my finger n i stil went to gymnatsyics i didnt take any time off!![not being mean lol]i went 2 gymnstics n i just cant seem 2 land my backwalk over on de beam!!!=[!!!!i also ripped my hands on de bars even though i uesed loads of chalk

  • xD, im sure u'll get ur back walkover. a lot of the girls on the team had trouble the first few months with it. they said like bending back on the beam was the scary part.

xD bessides, look at shawn johnson. actually took her a YEAR to learn a kip up lol.

when i do high bar, i prefer not to use too much chalk D= chalk actually causes friction so i just get enough so that my hands dont start sweating. (but then again, high bar is less painful than uneven bars since it is made from steel.) lol

  • i can say from my best friend that they dont all love it. most ppl cant live without it like her. they have 500 days monday weds friday where they run 500 meters and do 500 reps of pushups situps and other crap. thats horrible.

  • gymnastics is way harder than people think. in my eyes and from actually being in it, it is the toughest sport out there. none of that football shit, maybe like 1% of all football players can do what these people can do. i wish i didnt quit because i was able to do stuff that millions cant do and i didnt think of that when i left

  • what is wrong with all ye ppl posting coments on this??none of ye know how hard it is to be a gymnast!!!u make one mistake and thats it theree is no going back!u had ur chance and u lost it!!!gymnastics isnt everything it looks like!!!i mean like how cud u say it was fun

zuzma101?ye sure it looks fun to just be twisting in the airr but u dont no how many ppl cry everyday from gymnastics, how many ppl are heartbroken from gymnastics, and how many ppl are terrified of losing everything the have!

  • i know how hard it is emotionaly but if your truly strong you can get through it... not just phisically but mentaly. i was hurt but look i am still waking up every morning and the sun still rises. nobody can lose everything that they can't earn back. if your strong enough to do it once you can do it again.

  • us training is nothing compared to chinas you really need to look at those ones there fricken braking their backs.... it's ridiculous!!!!

  • Ok, maybe is better that we can be good without hurting our selves as much as china, They might have beet us in the olypics, but we can beet them next year, its not like they are that much better than we are! If you are not a gymnast yourself you need to go to hell

  • But all the pain ...Look at wat there doin!!!

Once i was so bendy and i didnt need gym i would quit and just do it sometimes at home but u would really keep ur flexability!!!!

  • The song is 'Amelie Poulain' by Yann Tiersen.

  • The name is: Comptine d'un autre été L'après midi, Yann Tiersen

  • Deja Vu

  • 1:05 looks FUN =D

  • in real life not at all

  • Comment removed

  • it is fun, i love working skills on the belt =]

  • Strength is so beautiful in women. It's a shame more arent proud of being strong.

  • Yann Tiersen - Amelie Poulain

    beautiful song.

  • When the coach is stretching the girl at 0:56 - that feels sooo good the first time! I love having coaches to that...it makes everything else seem easier too!

  • um...what king od feel good??

not 2 be sikk just asking...

  • Like, it kind of rips the muscles in your legs and opens them up. It is like stretching to the max, cause there's weight pushing you down, not your muscles, so you don't have to work as much.

  • i agree. but the next day it hurts like hell and you can hardly move

  • I agree

  • People always think that gymnastics is just doing somersaults and flicks and stuff, but hardly anyone actually realises that, that is just a part of gymnastics! And that all the training and conditioning is what makes a gymnast a gymnast. and i find it inspiring how all these girls are smiling whilst they are in pain. I truly look up to them

    <3

  • me 2

    i love gymnastics

and i hope i am as good as those girl some day

  • @gymcraze212 It´s just training, what makes them smile, If your used to pain your face relaxes and you are smiling just like you do a usual thing,

  • name song is srong bong

  • whats the name of the song?

  • yeahh i wanna no tooo !!

what is the name of this song !??!?!?!?!

    its so good

  • Yann Tiersen - Amelie Poulain - Comptine d'une Autre Ete - L'Apres-Midi - it's what the title says:)

  • ahh, thankss

  • Comment removed

  • this isnt the bad part.theres worse but you just have to tough through it or your career will be over before it even began.

  • These people are smiling. I wish I could do that xD

  • this is not mean

  • gymnastics is harsh if you dont think it is then you are not a real gymnast and yes to stick with gymnastics you do have to be commited to it sorry no junk food for gymnasts im a gymnast on a competetive gymnastics team and it is pretty haarsh just wait until you get to a higher level.

  • This is a very popular song for gymnastics videos. I have watched three with the same song. It is my favorite song. The best video with this song in it is Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics School

  • what is this music called?

  • its Comptine d'un autre ete : l'ap from the Amelie Poulain soundtrack

  • yeah but we all do it cause we love it and we wont to be the best im a gymnast in elite if u r not comited then there is no point doin it

  • its all fun when u a kid but i think it gets really really harsh especially wit stuck up judges and coaches

  • 1:26-1:30 is in my gym and ya you people make gymnastics sound so dayum harsh like its not that bad

  • um yeah it is im 10 and i do elite gymnastics and it is that harsh. even when I was level 1 they pushed us beyond our limets. I keep doing it bcuz i have passion.

  • yeah, sometimes, sometimes not :)

  • i wonder what level gymnast you are if you're gonna say it's not harsh. because if you were actually good, you would know that you're risking your life every single day. you would know that if you were a half an inch off on something, you could die. you would know that there are 5 and 7 year olds working out 25 hours a week. please tell me that's not harsh.

  • nice vid

  • erm exscuse me anyadevin if rhythmic is hard and better and artistic isn't we may not be able to fling a hoop around but if an rg gymnast was told to do a front sommasault could they do it ? no probably not every disapline in gymnastics is hard for different reasons accept that x

  • i was an Elite gymnast until an injury last January and what normal athletes would consider torture is what we do every day you just don't see it I love doing gymnastics

  • im also a gymnast.

    - we also do somthing like that .

  • umm anyadevin. my sister does gymnastics, it's hard. you wish you could do what they do so you have to say that rg is better. well FYI... it's not! gymnastics has LOTS of training and hard skills.

  • They are both incomparable sports.

A rhythmic gymnast would not be able to do:

    A Double Twisting Yurchenko

Flic, Flic, Layout Series on Beam

    Double Layout dismount off bars

    Full-in back out on floor

just as a artistic gymnast cannot do the various skills a rhythmic gymnast can do wiht multiple inanimate objects.

    Summary: YOU CANT COMPARE.

  • I think the music is by ludovico eunaudi

  • Hey!! Can you send me the full video at 0:36 ?? (and 1:49) thx!!

  • what is the name of the song?

  • I think it's from Yann Tiersen, from the movie "Amelie" But I'm not sure.

  • Yes, Thank You!

  • This is Yann Tiersen

    "Amélie Poulain"

    04 - Comptine D'un Autre Été, L'après Midi .

  • thats not good for the kids

  • whats not good for them???

  • nice video really good.

  • was that shawn johnson on :54?

  • No that is Courtney Kupets during her injury recovery in 2004.

  • Yes she was ;)

  • My brother plays this song on the piano. :)

  • 1.14-1.17 is that randi lau??

  • Yes it is, it's while she was still training in Hawaii, so about 8 or 9 years old, I think

  • wow!!! 8 or 9 years old!! she's doing yurchenkos and I was learning how to do a backhandspring! lol thats amazing!

  • hi!!

  • which song is this it is so nice and sad.....

  • I don't know the name of it but the tune was in the Frenchfilm "Amelie".

You can get it on the soundtrack to the film on itunes. Track number four on the soundtrack called: Comptine d'un autre été - L'après-midi

  • Comptine d'un autre été L'après midi

  • i dont know y u all bangin on about it being cruel and shit ..... these kids have a dream and they work there arses off for it ... yeh sumtyms it will get tough but under it all they enjoy it and they r not all russian most r u.s.a but whatevahhh and btw - trust me im a gymnast!!!!!!! xxx
