@ClassicToonFan64 I think if Wesker doesn't return then ada should have kept some of the sample of the virus and releases it elsewhere and infects herself in the ending but it has no effect to her (e.g mutation or death) but makes her incredibly powerful. Then capcom can go from there...

but unfortunately it's not confimed if Nicholai survived or not.

ok ok people. nicholai obviously stole the helicopter and tried to get blood sample kill greg blow up university escape. as you can see in the outbreak ending just before they show the city getting air striked, the helicopter was quite a distance from the city. the sun was going to rise soon when they left in the helicopter cuz u can see a small glow. and when they blow up the city the glow is bigger. and when the ending well ends, it is a full blown sunrise. YAY! confusing explenation.

This wasnt "ten minutes before the nuke striked" ,he had step up a bomb at the university like he did at the hospital. Thats why he was saying it was almost time.

which was 5 minutes before the university blew up which was about 10 before the chopper rescued the survivors just before the strike...

logically the only way it could have worked was if he stole jill's chopper first and then went to the university, but even then its cutting it close...

But the chopper didnt rescue the survivor just before the nuke striked, there is a big amount of time betwen those two events, this is very clear in the "especial" endings. And in the normal endings we are shown images of the chopper leaving and the missil blast, but nothing says those things happened one after the other. Just re-check the endings.

Well the Clock Tower is right next to the University isn't it? And the Clock Tower is right next to Raccoon Park, which is right next to the Dead Factory where Nicholai escapes in the chopper.:)

He would have had time to show up to tell Jill about his intentions in the Park right before Jill faces the Gravedigger, then show up at the University and attempt to get the T's Blood as well as assassinate Greg, then make it to the Dead Factory to escape.:)

I agree. Nicholai definitly made it out of Raccoon alive. That Umbrella got all that combat data and most of the evidenceof their involvement was erased is proof of that. On the map of Raccoon, the University is literallay right next door to the Clock Tower, Hospital, and Park. He had plenty of time to kill Greg collect the sample and escape in the helicopter in the Dead factory behind the park. Also in he original story the chopper pilot that shoots at Claire in CV was supposed to be Nicholai.

It almost seems like the clock tower at the University is an entirely different one, but I hate to think that there are 3 different clock towers in Raccoon, at the University, RPD and the one above the chappel.

@mbergman89 Actually I recently read all the library in RE5 and it says that Jill was rescued by Barry from Raccoon City, which only occurs in the scenario that Nicholai steals the other chopper and escapes. So Nicholai did make it out.

@MysticalWizardMerlin your absoulutly right, the proper ending for Resident evil 1 is that only Chris and Jill escape but they never find Barry, thats why its a shock for jill when Barry turns up with a chopper and saves Jill in RE3, Nicholai takes the other chopper and sells the combat data for a huge profit (much more than he was promised) later after he gets his money Umbrella tries to kill him off but he escapes and leaves them a note saying that Jill and Chris will be a problem later....

@KarlBNP In the Canon Story ( Canon means what really happens) he lives and He sells all this data to umbrella and he always informs umbrella how Jill Valentine must be stopped (knowing she escaped) and he also sends memos to Sheena Island about B.O.W.S he researched so Nicholai is very alive indeed

They took the online servers down years ago, and I never got ot finish the game because most people who played it online would only play that stupid versus mode. Second guy you can argue that his neck might have snapped, but theres really no way the 3rd died... 2- U can kill him while he is on the Chopper .

But he can escape by the Chopper .

So there is many different ends for him .

Yeah, he escapes in a chopper as he's mentioned in Code Veronica or Survivor (both of which are canon), but I do think Jill battled all three forms of Nemesis. Gotta remember sometimes you have to mix the stories of the Resident Evil games' scenarios together to get the true story.
