  • aww poor kermit

  • I left my Husband when my son was 9, I use to tell him this was our song, I lost him in October, I did not know I'd one day, have to carry on without him, gee, life can be so hard...

  • @vickiesmom I am sorry for your lost, I to had to bury my son he was only 32, & murdered, just a little over a yr ago, this song i sang to him after his Father & i divorced, I seen Helen in SD Ca she was great!! & i listen to this song when i think of my Brandon, Best to you! & still am loving Helen!!

  • I remember when my 2 sons were babies I sang this song to them.

and now they are men as a man it makes me happy thinking back to those days in raising them that those were the best days.

  • My mom was a single mom raising me by herself and this was our song. We danced to it at my wedding back in 1996. I cried. She now has it on her jukebox player in the basement. I sometimes listen to it to reminisce about what a strong woman my mom is and how we made it through some tough times after she divorced my father.

  • When my parents separated, my mom used to say this was our song.. she has been gone for a year now.. never thought I would bury my mom at 21 years old..

  • I used to rock my baby daughter on my lap and sing this to her after my divorce. She's grown now and I had not heard this song for years. It took me back to those days like it was just yesterday. Touches my heart. It was our song...

  • Melbourne's Queen of Pop; That was until Kylie Minogue came along. Nice tune, by the way.

  • a real tearjerker! such a beautiful singer and song! right back to summer 1974.

  • I dedicated this song to my oldest daughter when she was a baby and her dad left us and didn't want anything to do with us. I wrote all the words down and made her a special photo album of her and I as she grew up over the years and I gave it to her on her 16th birthday.

  • every time i hear this song, it really makes me cry... so much emotions would come out. i love her voice full of feelings. thanks for uploading.

  • Fantastic

  • my friend mikey use to sing this with his mom when he was 2. he passed away in florence italy feb.19.2011. he was a good friend. his bestfriends miss him every day. its such a shame. makes me sad everyday.

  • too beautiful

  • Oh Hell Yeah!!!! KermieRules!!!! Love Helen Reddy. This is such a beautiful song!!

  • Paul Williams may have been goofy looking back in the 70's but he sure knew how to craft a song (We've Only Just Begun, Evergreen, Rainbow Connection, etc...).

  • In the hospital, a couple weeks before she died, my mom told me this was our song. That was five years ago and I've always avoided finding the song because the emotions are so strong even now. I just listened to it for the first time and I'm glad I found a version with Kermit. Having a beloved character there softens the heartache.

  • @GlenysNgaire This is MY daughter & my song, also! Sorry for your loss. I hope your memories will get you through!

  • This song is for Brad, my son... "D"

  • I know you're not physically here with me anymore Beanie, but here is our song. I love you so very much and miss you.....Happy Mother's Day! I love you a bushel and a peck. XOXO

  • I know its corny and I don't care: Helen and Kermit singing my Mom and my song (you too, Mimi). I love you, Loretta Francis Kazmierczak Winkler Fritz.

  • Happy Mothers Day to my Mom, and my Aunt Pat!

  • I love this it is so precious...a beautiful lady, a beautiful song and gorgeous Kermit...so beautiful!!

  • My Goodness she IS a very pretty woman indeed. I always loved this song that I used to hear on AM radio back in the 70's. It's a GEM of a song.

  • This is always makes me think of my mother..long gone now...now I guess I'm the one who has to carry on..

  • @brosia1000 this was the song i played at my wedding for dance with her

  • This song hit home big time for me and my first born, he played at his wedding and danced with me, i'm at peace now and ready to go home..........

  • I wonder if Helen herself is ever saddened or cries when hearing her own song. I know I do.

  • Nice, affecting song. Had the 45 when I was a kid. Helen Reddy took it to #9 pop & #1 AC in Billboard in 1974.

  • Beautiful song. Love it : )

  • When Helen is hugging Kermit and showing affection for him, and Kermit is seemingly sad during the song makes me tear up a lot. This song alone makes me sob so hard as I listen to it.

  • How can u not love this

  • @furb393 Indeed, anyone who would not even FEEL a pang of sadness when hearing this song would have to be cold hearted. Even I, having been called cynical, have had a pang of sadness when I hear this.

  • This is priceless. Kermit and Helen. All I need is a candy necklace to eat while I'm watching this and I'll be back in my childhood completely.

  • Helen Reddy 's "You And Me Against The World"
