Our script is devnagri, and we must be proud that we don't fight for Marvadi, I always say it with great great pride, Ours is a dialect of hindi, and Rajasthan is a great example of Communal harmony, its just unbelievable how united we are, committed to this nation, with a great culture..

@handsonventure Same hr Indian first and anythin else later. But some facts need to be appreciated. Marwari certainly out-dates Hindi by at least 5 centuries and is not a dialect of Hindi. Nepali and Marathi also hv devnagari script, so thats no point. My friends visiting Jaisalmer find it as as difficult to understand as Gujarati or even more. Unity in diversity is wt India is n lets not kill diversity to be united. Rajasthani language and Dingal-Pingal literature should get their due JAIHIND.

but wats use of all these...we marvadis r forgetting our mother tongue and our culture...we speak in foreign languages like hindi and english...but dnt speak in our mother tongue..today all states r fighting for their state language like marathi,tamil,kannada,gujarati­...but marvadi language has not got place in 8th schedule of indian constitution...and we rajastanis are least bothered about this..wer r all rajputs now??
