I was diagnosed with one this evening this is my 5th its a recurring problem !! They are painful buggers but thankfully the 3 day course of antibiotics always does the trick :) I've been advised by my doctor to buy home test kits to catch it early if I have suspicions, I would recommend this to all of you but this is not a diagnosis you will have to go to the doctors but you can tell them if the test was positive or negative and it helps them.

I was told to try a teaspoon of baking soda 3 times with full glass

water but instead i am taking ciproflaxcin 500mg seeing i found negative feedback on baking

soda and and the possibility of not having right ph level to balance alkaline and

vitamin c, I heard of cranberry extract and d-mannose but this person dos not say how

exactly to mix it properly, then i heard people practicing layman's theory on natural cures

I just went to the ER, because I am not peeing. I was thinking something is wrong with the function of my kidneys. They said that I have a UTI. I probably do, because I have had them since I was 12, but WHY am I not peeing? They said my kidney function is ok but did they run several blood tests to say for 100% that my kidneys are ok? I doubt that. We are talking about the local ER here.

@txmomoftwo1 Go to the doctors if you havent already ASAP because it saved me a lot of pain. They put me on antibiotics and went away within 8 hours! But there's a couple days after where it stil feels weird, but no pain. Good luck!

I have one and it's the worst thing I've ever experienced. And trust me, for anyone who's had it, I'm not being dramatic. You feel like you have to pee every 5 seconds. It BURNS like hell when you go. And it just sucks!

I was in financial trouble since I'm a college student and don't work and I was able to get it treated for free =)

Apx. 97% of kidney infections are caused by E-coli. E-coli love D-mannose and will "leap" onto it as it is flushed from the bladder. D-mannose can be purchased over the counter relatively inexpensively. How come that wasn't listed as a treatment option? Why is your first recommendation to obtain antibiotics? You have to go to a doctor for that. Plus, antibiotics can have side affects and become ineffective over time.

Agreed, drink lots of natural cranberry juice and plenty of fluids. You can also purchase all natural cranberry supplements at any drug store to help maintain urinary tract health if you are prone to infection. Going to the doctor and taking meds should be a last resort!

If you let it go Too long, It will Eventually Develop into Kidney Inection.

KIDNEY INFECTION CAN AND WILL KILL YOU.

It takes a long time for UTI To develop into Kidney Infection.

Drink Cranberry Juice and water to flush it out NO SUGARS, Meaning Soda.

If your UTI Doesnt end within 1-2 weeks, Consult a Doctor.
