  • rice grinders run forever..... this puts a smile on my face.........epiphonesg007 was your comment for me?????

  • I want to get a Suzuki gt750 i have 3 motorcycles a gt 380 gt185 and a 305 big bear scrambler

    and i'm 15

  • My cuz had a water buffalo in the '70's...all kitted out with hard bags, a top box, & touring seat. didn't matter what the weather, general abuse/benign neglect, or how long it sat, fired right up & ran like new. Big ol' cloud of smoke wherever he went.

  • Now thats a sound,love it

  • Cool old bike

  • In Britain the knickname was "kettle"

  • I just traded a Honda CB for one of these. It needs a bit of work, but I've always wanted one. Judging by the video they look to be pretty fast too.

  • GT 750's nickname was "vesipyssy" in Finland. I'm not sure, but I presume GT seven fifty was the first water-cooled mass production bike at the time, Kawa's Z 1300 "möhkökawa" came late 70s, maybe -79 or so..

  • Piper 3 into 1 sounds fab but strangles top end. Love kettles

  • Hell Ya !!!!

  • We call them an aquarium in Holland.

  • wow

  • what exhaust is that?

  • omg! old but really fast...would u reccomend it as first bike?

  • @gvndud No...

  • @gvndud Powerful 2 strokes tend to have a savage powerband, a bit like a turbo that turns up it's own boost when it wants to! It may be at the same revs every time, but the sudden extra power is a real kick in the pants! A mad beginner's bike. So if you're mad, and a beginner, go for it! B¬)

  • @wordreet Finally a complete answer! thanks. Maybe a 500 it's better to begin. I just don't want be bored too soon of it, but neather risk my life too much XD

  • @gvndud Suzuki also offered a 380 'kettle'. My friend's older brother had one. He was passenger one time, and was left sitting on his backside on the tarmac, when his bro decided to pull away too quickly and wheelied down the road! LMAO!! X¬D

  • @wordreet The 380 was air cooled. Kettle?

  • @tenchinatent Damn, yes you're right. My mistake.

  • @tenchinatent .yeah the 125 185 380 and 550 were all air cooled with the ram air system

  • eargasm

  • their called kettles here in uk

  • @ flyrock45 Two-strokes actually run hotter than four-strokes.

  • what a sound 2 strocke power

  • oh and I forgot...6500 redline...

  • 65 horsepower....6.5 to 1 compression ratio....6.5 x 6.5 bore and stroke...U have had 2 of them years ago..one with stock pipes and one with 3 into 1 expansion chamber..awesome sound.

  • @jimjabbo its more like 67 horse

Mijn motto:

    2 STROKE FOR EVER!!!!

  • In Australia they are called Water Bottles, sounds and looks fast.

  • AKA the Le Mans in the States, really like that name :-) Anth.

  • "Waterbus" in New Zealand.

Mine was the first twin disc model, never missed a beat

  • @MyBarry2009 and in sweden they call the bluesmoker

  • @MyBarry2009 and in sweden they call it the bluesmoker cuz you never when you heard it and turn around to look there were nothing there just blue cloud of smoke :)

  • @MyBarry2009 in northern ireland back in the 70's we called them water buckets..

  • nice sound

  • Cheeers :-)

  • we called them waterbuffalo in germany...

  • I think the Americans do as well :-)

  • @828cc yeah we do lol

  • aw hell ya !!!!

  • Im glad this video is still on YT. I come back to it every once in a while and get my GT750 fix... :-))

    Im happy now :-))

  • Excellent... if you're in need of another fix try Hold Tight. Cheeers, Anth :-)

  • @828cc Ha Ha.. Will do :-)

  • Sounds tooo good under that bridge :-)

  • @Bevoin1970 I was thinking of sending you this but you beat me to it m8 lol! Lovely sound, reminds me of some of the drags we'd do up and down Bescot Crescent blasting either 2 stroke or redex (or both) all over the neighbours gardens!

  • @Stubba1961 Ha ha... I know. Happy days eh? Why do you think I keep visiting this page every once in a while to get my fix. :-)

  • In Canada we called them "Water Buffalos". Great bike... good vid.... thanx.

    David

  • It was the Kettle over here, probably the best bike Suzuki ever made :-) Anth.

  • @828cc yes good bikes the kettle is nice sounding to are the good days up westgate rd newcastle

  • @vintageracer25 Thats what i call them too here in TN

  • Got to love that sound

  • Sounds like nothing else :-)

  • Whre can i buy such pipes?

  • Great sound!I have also a 750 kettle, and looking and seaching for such 3-1 pipe.

    Where did you bought it?

  • I had this one made for me but the bloke is no longer in business :-) Anth.

  • Holy crap! does all stock suzuki 750s from the 80s accelerate that quickly?

  • Not bad for an old gal eh?! She's 34 this year!! Cheeers, Anth :-)

    Check out Hold Tight.

  • A 2 stroke runs much cooler than a 4 stroke.

  • no, a 4 stroke runs cooler than a 2 stroke.

  • Ok, put your bare hand a 4 and a 2 on a hot day, idling and sitting in traffic. You tell me which one you got 3rd degree burns from, if your willing to prove me wrong.

  • same CC's and a 4 stroke will run cooler, just because it makes one explosion on every 2 rotations.

  • YOU FAAAAIIIILLLEEEDDD BIG TIME

  • return at school extremersucker

  • @flyrock45

Yes but it have 4 or 5 cylinders ;) On 1 cylinder the sounds its not really well, but i think that sound is really good and beauty (or like this). Sorry for my english im dont speak english very well ;)

  • @flyrock45 No it doesn't.

  • @Scootertuner1000 oviously you don't know what you are talking about, 4 strokes are boring, full of computer shit few things to modify..... but on 2 strokes, you gotta be really hands-on in terms of engine mods. fours are for noobs

  • @HOMBREooDEooACERO Yes I do. I am an engineer. The reason 2 strokes run hotter than 4 strokes is because every downward stroke of the piston is under combustion rather than every other stroke. You might wanna read some of my other posts before mouthing off. I am an ardent supporter of 2 strokes. I grew up on them they are much more exiting and much more fun to ride. they have instant throttle response and have about 20-30% more power than an equivalent sized 4 stroke.

  • @HOMBREooDEooACERO Saying that a 2 stroke runs hotter does not mean I don't prefer them, it just means they run hotter, which they do. I prefer 2 strokes. Obviously you don't know what you are talking about.

  • @Scootertuner1000 sorry dude, i got it all wrong....didn't know you are talking about temperature.... TEMPERATURE!!!! but figuratively speaking 2t are much cooler... FIGURATIVELY!!! can't argue with that, im also an engineer.. haha

  • @HOMBREooDEooACERO Apology accepted, thank you. I sued to work for Cosworth Engineering in Wellingborough Northamptonshire when I lived in England. Over here in the states I have designing petrochemical loading arms and floating suctions for the gas/petrochemical industry.

  • @flyrock45

Where did you get your information from?

  • How many hours can you go steady on the freeway with a big two stroke before you need to pull over and let it cool down a bit? I sold my Harley Road King, 1550, 203 cams, all kinds of performance stuff on it and am thinking of buying a big bore two stroke to ride with my Harley friends. Something different!

  • Overheating's never a problem but I only use it for short blasts of about 50 miles, you probably wouldn't regret it if you did buy one. Cheeers, Anth :-)

  • how fast have you been able to get on the 750?

  • I don't push her past a ton :-) Anth.

  • RZ 350 is faster than 400RD and H1. the 350 LC. yamaha is a dream.

  • The Kwackers were always the classy ones though :-) Cheers, Anth.

  • Smells good as well :-) Anth.

  • what a sound :-o!!

  • New Kettle vid coming soon :-) Anth.

  • I can atest the Suzuki GT750 can handle repeated high speed abuse.Bullit proof if you maintain it.

  • These things go on forever :-) Anth.

  • R parts available at suzuki?

  • Ebay is the best source for parts.

  • ok which bike is faster... The H1 500, the GT750 or the RD 400?

  • 0-60 it'd be the H1 but the Kettle has the fastest top end :-) cheeers, Anth.

  • @LordSamuelJ Tha Gt 750 suzuki of course. no dout about it. But not with 3 in one exaust, have to be 3 expasion chambers

  • At idle, I always thought a 3 cyl. 2 stroke had a hopped up v8 sound to it. Under acceleration the 3 cyl. had a sound all to itsself.

  • Yes traded it in about 3 years later back at the place where I bought it for a GS1000 another black one

  • yep it was the b it was SRJ 125R

  • Wonder where it is now :-)

  • Bought one brand new in 1977 black one for 1,750 From Ashton Suzuki Centre Mossley rd

  • That would've been 750B then? Mines a 74 750M :-)

  • Nice! my fav. jap bike too, though I never had one of these. you is one lucky fella'

    Long Live The Kettle!

  • Kettles are bloody great bikes :-)

  • which do you prefer - the H1 H2 Kawasaki series or the kettles?

  • I like the Kettle best of all :-)

  • The Suzuki is miles better. I had an H1 and later an H2. Neither were pleasant handlers and the mach 4s had been known to seize up. I saw a guy go over the handle bars on an H2 on the racetrack and break both arms after the thing seized up. ( although it was on a race track it was a production bike race ) I was never confident of the bike after that and as I said it was a pig to handle anyway. If you are considering one, go for the Suzuki. They look better too (comparing standard bikes)

  • Thank you . an interesting story. yeah my preference is for the more civilised kettle or maybe RD400e Yam. But that's just me. Each to our own!

  • Had two RD400s and they are really good bikes, sound lovely with expansions :-)

  • I'd forgotten how good the big 2 strokes sound until I found your site. The gt380 Susi was a good bike in it's day too. But yeah the 400 Yam is the one for me.

  • ahh, i've just cum...

  • i was flicking through bike vids and came across this gt ,fucking awsome mate ,used to have em in the late 70s,still fucking awsome..dont sell it..all the best kooger666

  • I'd never sell this one... it's great for scaring car drivers :-) Anth.

  • Kettle + Piper = Heaven

    Got Kettle, need Piper!!!

  • Loud + noise = Kettle :-)

  • They don't make them like they used to.

    More's the pity.

  • Beutifull sound love those 2 strokes,

im only young but i love these vintage bikes, i hope i own one of these one day either a GT750 or a H2 750, anyway nice bike.

  • It's a pity that 2 strokes are fast becoming a thing of the past, buy one soon!! Cheers, Anth :-)

  • 2 strokes are still alive, at least they are in the off road world and they are better than ever. i have a exc 300 and it's awsome, only one bad thing about it, it hasn't got the classic 2 storke smell, it's too clean, but that's a good thing for the enviroment. and also i did a lap with a 94 cr 250 and beated it for quite a few seconds and the guy on the husqy was quite a better driver. i hope street 2 strokes rise from the dead soon. oh yeah check my ktm if you wanna.

  • beautiful !!!!! in the 70ths you saw a lot of those with exspancion pipes 3 in 1 english isnt my best thing lol

I really loved seeing and hearing this 5/5

  • Cool, glad you enjoyed it :-) Anth.

  • looks like summin out of mad max lol sounds well nice

  • i tested one of these ages ago, was going from a cb550, i couldnt keep the front down, didnt buy it , but to this day wish i had.

  • Such a nice Sound!

  • Never been anything else that sounds like a Kettle :-) Anth.

  • Give it "RICE"..lol

  • as if that's not a two stroke

  • I've seen this model around a lot, but I'm sure I've seen 4 stroke variations, am I confusing a different bike?! I always thought it was a 2 Stroke, but this is one of the only videos I can fine where it's a 2 Stroke

  • There was the Suzuki GT750 (a 3-cylinder, water cooled, 2-stroke, 1971-1977), which is what this clip shows and there was the Kawasaki GT750 (a 4-cylinder, air cooled, 4-stroke, with shaft drive, late 80's - early 90's(?)) which was derived from the Z- and GPz- range. They were not related in any way. :-)

  • On a run it does exactly half to the gallon that the Commando does, works out 27mpg at the best and 19 at worst. Cheers, Anth :-)

  • holy fak, it sounds a lil bit like a skyline!!!

tell me, mate. how much fuel does it burn in city and on "attack-mode" ^^?

  • love that sound! very rare these days!

  • You don't smell 2 stroke oil very often either :-) Anth.

  • use the ricine type 2 stroke oil, costs about 13 euros per liter but the smell is absolutely worth it. Modern 2 stroke oil smells like stupid scooters.

  • test drove a gt750 once, scared the hell out of me, so i went for the easier option, a gpz1100, that was 20 years ago and to this day i still wish i had gone for the gt750.

  • The h2 750 triple was kawasaki's answer to this bike..a little lighter but no water cooling

  • The Kwacker was a quicker but the Kettle was less fragile :-) Anth.

  • its 2Stroke or 4 ? Thanks.

  • It's a 3 cylinder 750 2 stroke :-)

  • wow !!!

    very nice !!

que fierro como decimos aca en argentina !

    thanks for answer.

  • 2t of course!! can't you hear the voice of the exhaust? lol anymway big 2ts rock!

  • jaja yes,

por eso pregunté nunca habia visto con cilindrada tan grande 750cc !! aca en argentina no hay. exelente !!

  • 2 stroke

  • I always wanted a Suzuki GT125 2stk twin, always the way ,when you got the money for something there is never one for sale anywhere in the world, when your skint they pop up out everywhere on trading post sites.Does anyone else suffer with this bike rarity disease syndrome?spending days on end looking for a certain bike, then when you have given up hope theres 4 for sale when you were'nt looking.

  • There weren't many GT125s about when they were new, most of us went for the 250. Stop looking and you'll find one. Anth.

  • i had a 125 twin, it was the x7 shape, my mate had the shape more like the gt750, they flew for a 125, my other mate bought a brand new cb125 to beat us, unfortunately for him we blew him off the road.

  • A mate of mine had a kettle in 79 and it was faster than the local CBX up to the ton mark....you should have heard them on the local ByPass !...Fantastic...they would be jailed for it now !

  • There's a CBX on youtube with a 6 into 1 pipe, sounds really good :-) Anth.

  • Whoa amazing bike im about to buying one but has been sitting for years and is in parts thought is complete :-).

the prcie is a little high like 300 dlls.

BTW that look lika drag racing hehe very nice

  • Sounds a pretty good price if it's all there :->

  • I guess seem's complete btw if you like 2-strokes bikes im restoring a kawa KR1-s 250cc

  • wow i nearly bought the gt once but the kettle name put me off,and i opted fer the gs750e.first time ive ever seen one bein driven.harldy slow to the boil neever

  • The GT is a really good bike :->

  • Wow,it's like an optical illusion - The Amazing Vanishing Bike! You can almost smell the Silkolene!

  • That 2 stroke oil does smell good :->

  • Cheers Dan :-)

  • I just can't not love viewing this again, lol thanks Anth

  • I want to put that engine in a 250 ninja....

  • That'd be different :-)

  • Jeez this makes me so envious, id love a GT750.

Your a very lucky man, I've added the video to my favourites so I can watch it every day and drool.

  • Cheers :-) Anth.

  • What an escape!!

  • Not bad for an old bike :-)

  • yea but it's 750cc 2t so no wonder. :p

  • great bike we have 3 will rebuild one when get time all none runners

  • This is the perfect video, straight to the point, no annoying music and plenty of action, i make that about 0-60 in 5.9 seconds, great vid sir.

  • Like you say it's to the point, I think I got up to about 80 on this run. Cheers, Anth.

  • Awesome take off thank you.

  • Cheers :-)

  • ncie smoker

  • Nice bike, but I recall it just tied with Honda 750 four about performance. And that's not a great score for a two strokes engined

bike.Heavy beast and a pretty complex mech. as well =

  • there's one video with a suzuki gt 750

  • damn im 20 and new into riding road bikes. i only wish they still made 2 stroke road bikes blahhh

  • There's still plenty of old ones about :-) Anth.

  • i hope i get one soon before they are all gone. bad i get my licence at 21. i alredy have it but i am restricted to 125cc and 15 HP. ok, i have a un restricted 125 and it has 4OHP but i whant a bigger engine and a 2 stroke. so when i'm 21 i get my "full" licence

  • Less quickly darling!! i lost my panty...

  • Nice and slow next time :-)

  • that sound brings back memories my dad had a gt380 with a 3 into 1 piper on it.

    SWEEET!

  • I had a 380 with a Piper back in 1982, the Police didn't like it very much! :-) Anth.

  • brilliant

  • Cheers, had her runnin' today - still sounds good :-) Anth.

  • This bikes fly, but is not a bird because roars! :)

  • She's pretty quick off the mark for an old gal :-) Anth.

  • I just watched it again, it's as good as the first time :-) ( Early drunk nite, snowstorm )

  • Hi Dan, on the Bud again?! We've got the fi
