This makes total sence to me now. I downloaded kids onto my iPod and I realized it sounded different in the chorus, and today I decided to watch kids EP version. I now know what this means, lol. But I didn't know that they actually sang like this. Kinda makes me sad, but whatever still is MGMT to me. And either way Andrew is fucking hot.

@mixtape24 Well for instance, throughout the song the "sound scape" is more lush. There are more layers of sound, the timbers are more nuanced and there is just more happening - but not in a muddy way. The mood of this cut is slightly different than the Oracular Spectacular cut; slightly less pop-y and more emotional. On the OrSpec cut, you'll notice that most of the guitar bit were replaced by heavy handed lead synth. The sound of the existing synth were "beefed up" to kitschy levels, etc.

This version's a little more mellow. The Oracular version is just too fast-paced and frantic for me sometimes. Both are great though. Just depends on my mood.

I remember listening to this when it first came out. Showed my mates, and they hated it. As soon as Time to Pretend was released in '08, they loved it. Goes to show how much people pose to be cool rather than make up their own mind.
