  • No "Revolution 9"!!! GRRR lol jk

Seriously, that's what most of these comments are like. It's HIS opinion people. Great list.

  • Hey Jude?? Thats an amazing song!

  • This put my 9 month old sister to sleep both of us like it.

  • @ilovethebeatles9800 that's nice. :) I'm glad you liked it.

  • You must like the more hippie beatles stuff, since most of yours was after Budokan.

  • I am the walrus??????

  • Major respect points for "You Never Give Me Your Money," "Across The Universe," and "Yesterday."

  • Twist n shout ??

  • @TheCazaOvnis twist and shout wasn't their song

  • Great list! But i must ask where was "Help" Surely that's in the top 40? But i guess this is your personal list and i respect that :)

  • @cockneybasterd Help is not a personal favorite. :)

  • hi pite9 is this your clear opinion on this top 40.what happen to norweign wood black bird and the song I feel fine which help make what our music sounds like today but im not going to try to condemn your opinion just want to know what happen

  • @1KOOLROCKNDAN there was only room for 40 songs, and The Beatles have a lot of great ones. I think the ones you mentioned were pretty close, maybe they would all have made it if I made a top 50.

  • @1KOOLROCKNDAN why not just make a list of your own? Why questions SOMEONE ELSE'S list?

  • across the universe is really soothing!!

  • im guessing this is just ur opinion?

  • #1 will always be "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" I have listened to it probably 300-500 in last year and I still get goosebumps when I hear it

  • @Toady373 me too hahah i listen to it when i go to sleep

  • While my guitar gently weeps makes me cry, it's been my favorite Beatles song since I was little. It's number one in my book :)

  • ok, whos that girl with george at 00:35 ?

  • @GeorgeHarrisonLuver1 It's Pattie Boyd, George's first wife, and a fine lady if I may say so.

  • great list!! I often think that Paperback Writer is shoved aside. If you knew when that record was made it was way, way, way ahead of it's time but then most Beatle records were that way.

  • The best list i've ever seen. Only day tripper i thought that don't deserve the third

  • how did you narrow their songs to just 40 ........... impossible

  • @TeamXTREMEPANTERA It took a lot of time, but it's possible.

  • Excelent list ! (sorry for my english)xD

  • 8:23 john lennon looks like an amish

  • The Beatles earned their fame... 40 years after breaking up they're my favorite band and I'm 14 which means I was born after Lennon's death. The Beatles really inspire me, they're my favorite band....I wish I could've met John. R.I.P. John and George, *wish you guys were still here*.

  • My top ten: 10: While My Guitar Gently Weeps 9: Blackbird 8: Drive My Car 7: Help! 6: Hey Jude 5: A Day in the Life 4: Eleanor Rigby 3: Let it Be 2: Yesterday 1: In My Life
  • Ahh, Across The Universe. Great choice. (:

  • I am the walrus, your mother should know

    something doesn't sound right.

  • i think the fact that everyone is saying "you should have put in..." and other similar comments pay tribute to the variety , quality and quantity of the beatle's hits.....the beatles will never be beat :D

  • i think the fact that everyone is saying "you should have put in..." and other similar comments pay tribute to the variety , quality and quantity of the beatle's hits.....the beatles will never be beat :D

  • i think the fact that everyone is saying "you should have put in..." and other similar comments pay tribute to the variety , quality and quantity of the beatle's hits.....the beatles will never be beat :D

  • a day in the life should be top 10,

  • cool mix

  • 0:30 my favorite song

  • The long and winding road is not that good....And WHeres IN MY LIFE???????

  • Very silly top 20. Where are:

Hey Jude, All You need, Eleanor Rigby, I am the walrus, Happiness is a warm gun, Blackbird, Tomorrow never knows...

  • 2 ELEANOR RIGBY

    3- SHE LEAVING HOME

  • yesterday number one

  • BIRTHDAY Number 9 ?!

  • Ticket To Ride!

  • 8 should be in top 3:((

  • @hoangduc92 i agree with you

  • 1333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333 should be 1

  • Day tripper at #3? outrageooouss

  • so john's in the piano, george is sitting on it, paul is freezing his ass off, & ringo is like all cool and stuff @ 2:11 @ 3:44 is my desktop's wallpaper / background ! ! @ 4:43 there is a sign that clearly states"You may not telephone from here" yet ringo offers a phone to john ok in this setting @ 5:50 paul is falling off of a building while wearing his pink suit, john is wearing something normal, george wears his tie shirt, and ringo wears a blue & yellow suit John loves teddy bears @ 6:34!

  • what about i me mine!!!!! that song is amassing!!

  • across the universe should be atleast #4 my friend.

  • Frank Sinatra once said : something is the best love some ever .... He was Right

  • the beatles are and always will be the best pop/rock band and thats coming from a 13 year old

  • @calumlane

    i'm fourteen

and i think you're freakin' right dude

  • @calumlane dude I'm 13 and I agree entirely!! they had the best story too!! if you want to you can read about them for hours!!

  • @calumlane I agree and I'm 12

  • Mother should Know and She's leaving Home?????????????

  • I think it's an interesting and thoughtful list even though these wouldn't be my Top 20. But when there's at least 80 or 90 really good songs to choose from as with the Beatles, no two people would ever agree.

  • the same things*

  • love something as #1 not my favorite song but its so good and underated

  • yeah, this is not a very well thought out song list, who ever made this is not very knowledgeable about the Beatles, come on the top three being Day Tripper, The long and winding road and Something, you could of done better than this.

  • It's her opinion. We can't all agree and like the sane things.

  • WHERE THE HECK IS HELP!??? sigh, that's one of the best ones ever, I thought it was going to be #1 for sure, but I guess you like the romantic songs better, according to your list, still, every single Beatles song is great!

  • Probably because Help became such a commonplace

  • my favorite is yesterday then my next favorite is eleanor rigby

  • 13 and in love with the beatles

  • lets be honest you can not say which is the best basically all there songs are awesome, how can u choose, there are too many amazing songs

  • I think that A Day in the Life is the most important song that John and Paul wrote

  • @gta029 agreed!

  • Eleanor Rigby,Rain,Come Togheter,Tomorrow Never Knows,Happiness is a Worm Gun,in My Life,Nowhere Man,Helter Skhelter....dove sono nella tua classifica??

  • No right or wrong in a list like this. The greatness of the Beatles is how many MORE songs one could list!

Get Back, Come Together, Yello Submarine, Eleanor Rigby, Ticket To Ride, Here Ther & Everywhere, I Want To Hold Your Hand, All You Need Is Love, A Hard Day's Night, She Loves You, Help, Norwegian Wood, If I Fell, Dear Prudence, Ob La Di, Blackbird, Rocky Racoon, Oh Darling, I Me Mine, Happiness Is a Warm Gun, This Boy, It Wont Be Long, Nowhere Man,In My Life, All My Loving, Ive Got a Feelin

  • i am impress Beatles forever

  • hey bulldog should be in the top five

  • free as a bird makes me weep T_T

  • y isent hey jude number 1?!?!?!?!

  • Because it's a personal list. The Beatles, like any band have many forgotten classics and songs that never got any recognition, for some reason. I have listened to all of their albums, and I think that many of their songs are better than Hey Jude.

  • Kids now days don't know anything about music. I appreciate what you said, it is really true.. Thanks for taking your time to make this video... And Beatles Forever !!

  • @pite9

in this opinion i do follow you with my eyes closed

  • The Beatles are and will always be a class act!

  • All kudos for putting this together! People who quibble about the choices or the order, just do your own! That's what its all about. Myself? I just had a good time watching and singing along....

  • i couldnt agree more with you.. and i mouthed out the wordds ;) thank you so much for posting this video.. much appreciated

  • u know wat i give this guy my respect because he put in the awesome songs that dont get alot of recognition

  • one of my favorites is get back and

  • long and winding road should not be #2 maybe like 32

  • I totally agree. Some other great song could of taken that place.

  • fool on the hill, amazing song

  • watch the video before this so u get the full list

  • I'm looking for great Beatles songs to download, and I found this. Thanks for all the great songs! I'm downloading most off of MP3 Rocket right now. Thanks again!

  • whats the picture at 8:15 i cant find it anywhere

  • You guys may disagree but my favorite beatles song is come together...

  • my favorite is hey jude

  • come together is cool. but mine is let it be.

  • xXkneewGr0wXx, mine is dear prudence i have no idea y really but come together is a great song too.

  • what about hey jude????!!!!

  • YEAH!!!

  • hard days night, hello goodbye, i am the walrus, get back, you cant do that, twist and shout, help, lady madana sraberry feilds forever, dont let me down, ect

  • I think I agree with the 'it's a matter of opinion' thing just because every beatles fan is different from each other, every one has a different Beatle favorite era, so if your's is the Studio era this list is definitely the most apropiate for you... Anyway, my top favorite song ever in life is A day in the life, and you should hear the Jeff Beck version for the Across the Universe movie... it's marvelous...

  • I Love It!

  • why include songs from the abbey road medley?

  • OMG Pink Floyd is my 2nd fav classic rock band 2! I love that 1st pic of Ringo, George & the blue meany even though "Your mother should know" was on Magical Mystery Tour not Yellow Submarine. I LOVE "You never give your $" Abbey Road & HELP! are my fav Beatles albums.Fool on the Hill good song! That is the best pic on #13 perfect timing on that one! Lyrically the best Beatles song is "Strawberry Fields 4ever" its very insiteful if u understand it.Instrumentally "While my Guitar Gently Weeps".

  • Paperback Writer :D:D:D

  • 'because' is great, why shouldn't it be there?!

  • Yay Something! My favorite Beatles song right there..GREAT LIST!!

I enjoy watching these lists here on youtube and seeing how people order the songs.

  • Some of my favoured songs in the top ranks that are missing in other lists (Birthday, She's leaving home, Day Tripper, Long and winding road), though I'm missing my top favourites (Get Back, I saw her standing there, Back in USSR).

  • Where are the songs:

    In my life

    Rain

    Norwegian Wood

    Help!

You've got to hide your love away

    ?

It's impossible to make a toplist with your favorite Beatles songs. It would be different every week.

  • because shouldnt be on the list

yeah weres help and i wanna hold your hand

    she loves u

    all my loving

youve got to hide your love away

    in a way im dissapointed

    great band though

    BEATLES!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It's a matter of opinion.

  • it is all a matter of opinion. some people like the the bubble gum pop stuff of the beatles, but others like their later stuff, like Happiness Is A Warm Gun, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Across The Universe etc.

  • Some lame choices

  • there is no favorite comparing to the Beatles probably every week your favorite song would change that because there songs are magical to listen to you'll see..

  • 2 should be something

1 should be IN MY LIFE

  • something is beautiful¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • WTF! WTF! YOU LEFT OFF ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE!

left off love me do, twist and shout(cover), hard days night, eight days a week, help, ticket to ride, eleanor rigby, dear prudence, happiness is a warm gun, COME TOGETHER, and get back...and you also had the long and winding road at 2 NO NO NO but all in all 5 out of 10

  • God, who doesn't love, I MEAN LOVE the Beatles. I mean everyone loves them. I have never met a person who said "I HATE THE BEATLES OR I DONT LIKE THEM" I have never heard anyone bad comment the Beatles or say anything not great about them!!!!!!!!!!!!

    PeAcE*bAbY

  • the beatles are the B-E-S-T

m friend had heard of them but not heard there music and i showed him mr kite at the time and he thought they were weird :( but ya later i should him stuff like get back and here comes the sun and now he likes them :)

  • looks like you haven't been to any Elvis vs the Beatles or the Beatles vs the Rolling Stones videos. You want to meet some Beatles haters go there plenty of the tasteless fools there.

  • I love all the songs in your top 40 except you are missing one of my favorites, "Help" and I don't remember hearing "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" either, thats another great one. I love almost all of the Beatles songs though! They are definatly my favorite artist!!!

  • my favorites are the following:

    1.Yesterday 2. Help 3.Let it be 4.Hey Jude

    5.Hard Day's Night 6.Can't Buy me Love

7.We can work it out 8.Day Tripper 9. I wanna hold your hand 10. Please Please me

    The next songs include:

Eleanor Rigby, Eight Days a week, Twist and Shout, Strawberry fields forever, Penny Lane, Obla di, Come Together, Across the Universe, Back in the USSR, All my Loving, Ticket to Ride and Lucy in the sky with diamonds

i ALSO HAVE ABOUT 40 OTHERS THAT I LOVE!

  • aww i love the fool on the hill.. fav song!

  • to vote the the beatles best song atleast you must already hear all of beatles song, why don't you start with 62 beatles song that became top ten in US and UK Chart.

then sorting it with music, lyric, and how many people buy

i think the best song is Hey Jude, In my Life, Something (20 week in chart),

and the best album is sergeant pepper lonely hearts club band... look at the sound effect in that album,

and remember john, paul, and goerge's favorit song is "IN MY LIFE"

  • That's funny. I had listened to all of their songs, but there are some old songs that today I think should be on the list, but also some of the newer ones.

And I could really care less about what songs were the most successful. In My Life is to me the weakest song on Rubber Soul. It's one of the few "succesful" songs that I never really considered on the list. It's just too boring to me. And my favorite album is a tie between Abbey Road and Magical Mystery Tour(!).

  • i see you like rock song than other kind of music, but for me its very difficult to choose the beatles best song, 99 % of their song is very good, and i never boring to listen their song, by the way... i like your video, i watch it more than 20 times since i download it

  • bad bad bad

  • carnival of lights

  • Who's that girl in the last photo?

  • That's Pattie Boyd, George Harrison's first wife, who he wrote the song to.

  • Cool, thanks. She's very pretty.

  • honestly, im disgusted by the top 5, being a beatles fan my whole life im disgusted by the top 5 choices, heres how the top 5 should be... 5. Here Comes the Sun 4. While my Guitar Gently Weeps 3. A Day in the Life 2. I Want to Hold Your Hand (this song started Beatlemania) 1. Hey Jude (biggest hit they ever had, well deserved to be number one) Then to continue and go back... 10. Yesterday 9. Across the Universe 8. Day Tripper 7. We Can Work It Out 6. Elenor Rigby
  • Thank you for this list. My Dad was a Beatle nut and I guess that makes me Beatle Nut In Training.

  • ? This list makes some sense, but wow is it way off!!!

  • wow there were osme onyour list i would never pu in the top forty. i think in my life, come together, blackbird, elanor rigby, get back, hide yor love away, love me do, ticket to ride, i've just seen a face should be in the top forty. but i guess thats what was great about the beatles. so many songs, and all of them good.

  • oye something como numero 1????

hay muchas mejores como your mother shoul know o a day in the life o free as a bird

  • im sorry but hello goodbye at 11?

before here comes the sunn and sff?

  • your mother should know was written by harrison?

  • my favorite song of the beatles is hey jude....i always get goospumps when everybody sings na na na nananana nananana hey jude......masterpice

  • gorriky: What are "goospumps?" A European shoe style, perhaps?

Maybe you meant..."goose bumps?" Forgive me, but don't make bad guesses (despite what your teachers said), when you don't know it/can't spell it.

  • What an asshole =)

  • my favourite songs, my favourite band, all I need!!

  • the beatles....the best bend ever...and thats the end...

  • every one of the Beatles was a good musician.... the four together are the Beatles and nobody can say anything different

  • an excellent selection , love the beatles the best band ever beside the doors.

  • Doors were OK but no Beatles. Doors didn't change the world and cultures. If it weren't for the Beatles, the Doors would not have existed. Get real.

  • Te felicito pipe9 las canciones y el video son le pichi m ichi por no decir de la p....mare...!!!

Gracias por este regalo ahora lo tengo en mi celu, las escucho en mi trabajo con mis amigos y full tonos...thanks...!!

  • excellent photos here, and of course how can you NOT like the music.

  • a day in the life at 13 and strawberry fields forever at 12?

    are you joking

    those are my top 2

  • Yea, YOUR TOP TWO, not meaning it should be in the top two.

  • I LOVE the picture you used for Across the universe! Good choices but I probably wouldof chosen a different order for the songs!

  • I really like to see She's Leaving Home in the top ten but A Day In The Life is my number one

  • I love "Because" vocals, they are just amazing!!!!!

  • i like john at 4:13

  • Paul McCartney's contributions to Revolver - "Eleanor Rigby", "Here, There and Everywhere", "For No One", and "Got to Get You into My Life" all deserved to be on this list. "Good Day Sunshine" not so much, but it's incomplete without the aforementioned songs.

  • I agree on Eleanor Rigby, Here There, and Got to Get You, but there was just room for 40 songs. Eleanor Rigby is kind of overrated IMO, but great nonetheless.

  • just wondering, how is "birthday" better than songs like "hey jude" and here comes the sun"? same with "day tripper", which i actually like but think its more fitting in number #20 or so...

  • I just love the sound of Birthday. It's a personal favorite of mine. Day Tripper is probably the most easily recognizeable rock n roll song. It's so basic, but so good. Pure John Lennon genius.

Both Hey Jude and Here Comes the Sun were around #20, and that's pretty high up I say. It's not like those two songs are untouchable or anything.

  • yes I suppose....but "here comes the sun" to me is pretty untouchable. I really just like harrison's songs in general.

  • I tend to prefer Harrison over the others too. He wasn't a song writing machine like John and Paul, but what he did write is some of the best work of The Beatles. Especially the two on Abbey Road and While My Guitar Gently Weeps on White Album.

  • while my guitar gently weeps (acoustic version) is my favorite

  • Yeah, I also really like George Harrison's songs :)

  • how about hey jude? wasn't it supposed to be number one?

  • I was thinking about making a list for another classic rock band. Any requests?

  • Led Zeppelin or Queen

  • And you just happened to mention my 2 favorite bands of all time.

  • I like your taste. Its very similar to mine.

  • I recently made a Led Zeppelin top 40 list. A link can be found on this video's description.

  • u should make a list for pink floyd. second ebst classic rock band.

  • the fool on the hill has no buisness being anywhere clost to this list

    Here's my List:

    Top Tier: Hey Jude

    Middle Tier: Everything Else

    Low Tier: Birthday

  • The fool on the hill and Birthday are just my personal favorites. I know they aren't really that good to be a top 15 beatles song, but in my personal taste they are. :)

  • The night before?

  • What? The Night Before owns! Pure Paul McCartney genius with catchy piano riffs and great harmonies from John and George.

  • i thought yesterday would be #1 definetly

  • john lennon imagine was not a beatles song retard it was a johns solo career

  • A Day in the Life definately should be higher up.

  • Imagine by John Lennon should have been in there :P

    okay choice I guess :)
