@CanarsieBK from my understanding and research rockwool is made from lava rock. apparently the producers heat it until molten and then spin fibers. it also has slag from the steel industry in it.
@CanarsieBK The rockwool made specifically for growing, which is what it looks like you have, is inert and is used widely for food production in europe - how did it go BTW?
ps once the rockwool is wet, it's usually fine to touch

that is cool, my company sprays rockwool into wall cavities in homes for insulation and fire proofing purposes. great vid as always!
