The Damned wrote it. Chron Gen did a cover. I used to prefer Chron Gen's version (I  bought it at the time) but now prefer the original.

Alright, don't shout, sheesh!

I really like The Damned. I saw them twice back when they were a real punk band in the late 70s, but this version of "Jet Boy..." IS lame. Better than Elton's, but not a patch on the Chron Gen version. Are we only allowed to comment if we like videos?

@FergR The CG version is up on youtube now - they changed the words and the vocals suck. The Damned kick their butts - they rock ALWAYS. And of course the EM original is worth hearing - ya gotta appreciate the original version of things. Unless they're not good of course, which is not the case with the EM take.

Glad to see this on Youtube... I was there and recorded "Smash It Up" (parts one & two) on me mobile, but the quality is cr*p.
