Well, I would venture the film-makers never thought of that! Being now a "robotic civilian"

one could assume that he is close to immortal, or that "will operate" until his systems wear out. That is IF 'they' (the bad guys) don't catch up with him.

Here we have the perfect setting for a SECOND PART, which sadly was never made.

Sadly, seen from one viewpoint. Luckily, if seen from another angle, since "second parts almost never have been as good as the first part". Thanks.

@ronnyecar, his immortality would have raised a lot of unwanted questions. Also what happens when Turtle grows up, goes to college and doesn't care about Daryl anymore?

Or suppose Daryl contracts a computer malfunction and murders the family, etc.
