Damn is all that stuff yours or are you in a high end music store? I was going to buy one of these Kits but after hearing your demo I am Having second thoughts. It sounds pretty grainy to me. Keep building. Each one gets easier.
I've bee considering buying the Revibe ( One has popped up near by that's already premade by an amp tech ). I've never really owned a Reverb unit or too many pedals, mostly my Reverb goes from my onboard spring tanks. I'm after one mainly for surf but I'm wondering why your Revibe kinda sounds like it's oscilating ? Nearly sounds like a delay with loads of repeats ?
I only have a Fulltone Clyde Deluxe and I'm pretty satisfied with the combination. The amp doesn't need a distortion pedal. If I thought it needed one I'd consider the project a failure.
All were on 2 but controls go to 10. My nat is a little different because I have the normal and bright vols wired in parallel. I did this to simulate jumped channels.
Overall I'd say it has good gain for hard rock, but not enough for metal or shredding. What you hear is just my taste in distortion. I will try to find time to record another clip that focuses more on the nat.
its not that hard. The ReVibe was my first build....

Do you get a lot of clean headroom, I know you said you jumpered the channels.

@themikebolta I get very little clean headroom, but I tweaked it that way. I have a separate Fender amp for clean tones.

Would you call the tone of the Natalie more british or american?
knottyhotman 1 year ago
@knottyhotman It's definitely more British. The preamp is British, but the poweramp is like a Fender Deluxe Reverb with twice the power.

@wholtone Do you know anything about the Java? I would like to know. The layout is more hiwatt style.

@Rambo29 It is 4x6V6, so I believe it is around 40W.

How much gain did you have on It did not have as much as you think it would. Can you record a clip with full gain? THX
