A large part of the "chocolate" in Hershey products, sold over the last several years, isn't even real chocolate. It's a synthetic product named R-100. That's why so many products are labeled "chocolatey" not "chocolate".

Why should Herschey use the ingredients necessary? The consumers in the USA eat everything. And slavery became quite expensive in the last decades. I'm only eating Lindt or Austrian chocolate products. The american "chocolate" is comparable to what the eastern block had in the late 1970s: Chemicals which doesn't belong into food in the first place. The USA today is very similar to the eastern block in other aspects as well: Infrastructure, education, food, media & politics. Theyre developing :)
